"Lovely bank holiday weekend stay. Staff were helpful and friendly. Room was clean and comfortable although hot could not open a window. We booked and went to the roof top terrace, Above great views looking out over Newcastle. Breakfast was great on the Sunday cooked to order but the Monday self service. A great place to stay when visiting Newcastle. Go for a lower floor if you are a light sleeper as music on in the terrace bar until 1.00. "

"Great stay with my husband and 2 kids aged 13 and 9. We used the pool which isn’t very big but they enjoyed it’s we got to use the sauna and jacuzzi. The rooms was spacious and very comfortable and clean. We ate at the prego restaurant for tea and everyone enjoyed what they had. We played pool and darts in the anchor bar on the evening which was great for the kids. We also had breakfast which the hot food was very nice, we didn’t go until after 9 so not sure if it’s better earlier on but they...

"Great stay however someone had parked in the space outside our patio so couldn’t use this space for our own stuff. They were noisy when returning to their car at 10pm waking up my son. Maybe could number the spaces for the rooms "

"Budget level hotel. Bit disappointed that Google rate at 3*, but would be surprised with 2 stars. Friendly staff and it's clean but all looks tired and worn & in desperate need of major make over. Painted over damp around window, bottom of bathroom door frame rotting, rust on shower pipe work. Also our room was right alongside main road so quite a bit of noise."

"Very clean, lots of hot water & value for money. Some kind of hook needed in bathroom for clothes or dressing gown. Noisy at front of hotel that overlooks a busy A road when windows are open at night. Quiet once windows were closed. "

"Lovely hotel, only thing that let it down was the very squeaky floor boards which meant I was woke up quite a few times during the night and then at 5.30am when someone wasn’t too considerate and was banging about in the hallway. Did also have someone late at night chapping my door and running away. Let it down a bit unfortunately "
