"Lovely food and nice rooms. "

"From the moment we arrived the staff were attentive and friendly, after a 3 and half hour journey we had a lovely roast dinner and a beer which went down very well. We were then shown our room which was perfect, and matched the quaint pub, the bed was comfortable. tea, coffee, milk, biscuits, & water readily available, en-suite with shower and t.v. Breakfast was lovely all fresh and local produce. Final evening we had a lovely meal which coincided with my husbands birthday, the dessert came out...

"Room 7 extractor fan not working. Both windows can’t be propped open. No mirror over desk so hairdryer cannot be plugged in near a mirror. Shower floods bathroom floor. All staff tried hard but were overstretched. At breakfast many things were only available if asked for. Evening meals not good value for money. This is not a 4 star hotel. "

"Broken chair, headboard fell off the wall in the night landing on my head. Furniture cheap and dated. Wind whistles through gaps in the windows. Noisy especially on friday morning when the beer delivery lorry was unloading right outside"

"Stairs to the rooms were quite steep but the room was great. Comfortable bed and lovely to have fresh milk and homemade cookies. Unfortunately the shower could do with some attention as water was really slow to run away.Good selection at breakfast, staff were friendly and very accommodating. Could do with either cleaning or replacing the carpet on stairs and landing as it’s very stained and does them no favours in terms of appearance. Overall great stay and would recommend."

"Fabulous motel, staff were so lovely & friendly. Room was so clean and decorated beautifully, only down fall I would say is the streaming on the telly so complicated messing with WiFi settings to get it going. But has to channels anyway, ample parking, restaurant was lovely m&s garage in walking distance to. All in all a lovely stay & the drink vouchers for my partners 30th birthday was such a lovely treat. "

"Decor is beautiful & the bathroom stunning. Easy access & communication was great. The bed for us was very uncomfortable and far too firm. The duck down feather pillows were too soft & offered no support. The bath was the best feature. Breakfast & room facilities were good too and the property is nice & close to the centre. Parking not too far away either. "

" Public areas were good but hotel areas less so, the corridors were a bit dated but my room was very shabby, noisy, above public toilets with hand driers loud and constant, outside was the courtyard area with loud music and people talking loudly. Plus the fumes from cigarettes/vapes coming through the sash single glazed windows. After a long hard day it was not what I wanted or needed. Informed staff member on leaving but they took no details nor said they would inform the manager"

"Room was immaculate and the staff were very friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. Unfortunately, we felt the quality of the food didn’t reflect the price. We paid around £100 for an evening meal which included two mains, a shared Camembert to start, and two drinks, but we didn’t feel the quality of the food justified the price tag. The meal itself was quite bland and lacked imagination. The sauce with the main was overly salty, and the bread was extremely dry, as though it had been left...

"Stayed before.Always a great stay.Good safe parking. Lovely room..clean and tidy throughout. The attached Pub has a great menu and the food is always good and tasty."
