"We had a lovely night here. The hotel is really clean with lots of character & beautiful gardens. Our room was cosy, the bed was really comfy & the shower was hot! Plenty of teas& coffees to use & good quality toiletries too. Breakfast was amazing with plenty of choice of hot food cooked to order & a good assortment of cereals., yogurts & top quality fresh fruits. Thecstaff were all very friendly & helpful. It was a 5 minute walk into Bowness or the lake. Can definitely recommend this hotel. "

"Beautiful hotel, lake view room, with the all important AIR conditioning option. It didn’t cool as much as we would like for a wife that gets hot flashes & being used to keeping your body cool at night for best sleeps (we Americans love our AC.) had to open small upper corner windows at night, but they are behind closed blinds for privacy and difficult to get the cold air into the room. "Very pretty country location. The rooms including common rooms were all lovely. The tiny bathrooms were cramped and windowless and let the property down. Breakfasts were lovely, with lots of choice. Super for Families - Everything You Need
"I stayed here with my partner and 2 young children. We booked a room with two double beds - this was perfect. What really impressed me about the hotel was the extra details everywhere to make it really welcoming and easy for families. Toys, games, high chairs, ramps and accesible options - and even some secret doors for elves & fairies hidden around the place. The hotel has a super heated, indoor swimming pool, and a playground outside. I also really appreciated the box of "help yourself" to extra tea, coffee and milk at the reception. These details make all the difference and I want to say a big thank you to the team at Holiday Inn, Lancaster - you are great!!"
