We have a 5% discount off the rates during the On-season, during May & September for 2 nights, during the week and 10% off if it is 3 nights or more and does not include a Friday or Saturday. We also have a 10% discount off days during the week, if it is within 7 nights of the visitation dates- please inquire for more details!

We have a "last-minute" special on our cottages if the dates are within 10 days. So, let us know when you would like to visit and we can let you know how much the special is!

We have various 2-3 night dates available but, unless you put in the exact dates, our property will likely not show up. so, email us for a list of available dates.

Enter the driveway of through the woods that paint the surrounding area around your entrance to open up to a beautiful private lake nestled among mother nature and drive to your chosen cabin/cottage to enjoy the soft whisper of her breath as the breeze whistles through the trees and over the lake.

Pheasant Cottage has 14 windows, giving you a panoramic view of Serenity Lake which can be seen from two sides of the cottage. Enjoy the many pine and custom accents that make you realize you are in the wilderness among nature's finest treasures! Enjoy the view through the many custom windows that will make you feel like you are outdoors with the warmth and coziness of still being inside!

From outside, enjoy catching fish that most people only read about, that will leave memories in your children's hearts, as well as your own, not to mention, the deer you see... the porcupines, cardinals, blue jays, raccoons, hawks, owls, fox, beaver, otters, bald eagles or any other numerous wildlife that those who are dedicated to find will!

Pheasant Cottage is a 2-bedroom/1-bathroom custom home on a small, private lake and has its' own private entrance and the front gate stays locked at all times with only our guests and your guests having the access information making them even more private! Each home has it's own view, an out door hot tub (facing Serenity Lake!), your own fire pit and beach so you can swim and fish right from your cottage!! The bathroom is through the main bedroom. It has a double bed in the main bedroom, a double and a single bed in the second bedroom and a double futon in the living room and will have a double futon in the entry way for this on-season. (for some reason, it states that it has 6 beds in the heading. It has 4 (two double beds, a single bed and a double futon), not 6-we apologize for the confusion!)

We have kayak, canoe, paddle board, floating oasis and rowboat rentals available or you are welcome to bring your own.

If you rent for a 2-night stay and it includes a Friday or a Saturday, it is a weekend rate.

Pets are $40 for the first pet, for 2 nights and $10 per night after that. Each additional pet is $20 for the first two nights and $10 per night after that.

Pets are $75 for the first pet for a full week and $50 for each additional pet.

Also, major holidays are a 4-night minimum; minor holidays are a 3-night minimum (including Cranberryfest weekend) and the deer rifle hunt, which is a 5-night minimum for the opener and 4-night minimum for the latter half. We do not rent Saturday to Saturday or Sunday to Sunday (and do cannot begin a rental on a Saturday or Sunday) Any other night of the week is fine. Certain dates are a 3-night minimum when there are 3 nights available between other families or groups staying. Please inquire if you have any questions! Thank you!

The rates for additional guests is obviously more during the "On-season" but VRBO does not have an option for this. Also, for a weekly rental, the 20% offered, does not include the additional guests so the rate you will be quoted will be quite a bit higher than it actually is. Please contact us and we can let you know exactly what the rate is (not including VRBO's fee).

Cancellation Fee of $100 if cancelled after making the reservation. This is separate of VRBO's policy.

Great getaway in a peaceful location

Exactly as presented. Cozy & comfortable, and we were glad to have a rental that would allow our dog. You need to bring your own shampoo & soap, but that's a minor detail. We look forward to staying again.

Serenity Lake

Stayed for a weekend with my friend and my dog and what a great last minute find. The property was beautiful, spacious and felt very private- it's right on Serenity Lake and has a hot tub with a view! The cabin was cozy and clean with lots of windows and natural light, which I appreciate. (That being said, you might want to bring a face mask for sleeping if you're sensitive to light, as there is a flood light out back.) There is a trail you can meander through the woods around Serenity Lake if you're so inclined, and plenty of trails very nearby! Would definitely return.

Wonderful and peaceful place

We have visited Serenity lake for Labor day and spent 3 nights there. The place is very quiet and relaxing. Lots of untouched nature. Great place for fishing .The cottage is nice and has everything you need. Brian the host is wonderful and friendly. He answered all of our questions and was very helpful. The hot tub in front of the cottage is wonderful for evening relaxation. We will be back in spring for sure. Worth the drive from Chicago if you need to get away and chill in peace and quiet. We already miss the place, specially two friendly ducks that would come out of the lake and hang out with us 😆 Highly recommend this awesome place!!

Great Getaway

We stayed in Pheasant Cottage. Perfect for the two of us. We enjoyed the beautiful setting Serenity Cottages offers. The natural surroundings support native plants and many wild animals. Loved the low key, relaxed atmosphere (except for the periodic dog barking from the neighboring dog daycare). Each cottage is in its own private setting. The lake is small allowing for the enjoyment of non motorized water activities. It was great to have a relatively dark sky (bright yard light was a distractor) to view the stars.

Nice quiet place

The place was very pretty and quiet. Clean cabin. Not much room for trailer parking if bringing an ATV/UTV and with having to unlock gate we were partiality in the road with our trailer while unlocking gate. Hot tub was nice. Close to Hatfield which as fuel, food and great access to the trails.

It was excellent experience.

It was excellent experience. Me and my wife stayed the beautiful place for 8 nights. We fond new every day. Kayaking, fishing, hot tubing or enjoy the clear summer night sky - you name it. This is a unique place to spend your summer vaction with privite lake, hot tube in norther wiscinsin. Host Brian is very helpful, profesional and efficient. We will be back definitely.

Cottages on serenity lake

This location was beautiful and peaceful. It was a great weekend get away. Pricing is really good as well. My friend and I were able to go for a nice 2 mile walk and got to see wildlife along the way.

We had a wonderful time. We enjoyed the private setting and the distance between the cabins. Hopefully our dogs we not to loud when we are out. Easy to get to ATV trails. If we come back ATV riding again to the area we would definitely stay here again.

Extensive Rules & Procedures

The good: location close to ATV trails and nice view of the lake. The frustrating: extensive rules. Upon booking, received communication to pay pet fees outside of VRBO. Also stumbled upon a large list of pet restrictions on their website, all associated with additional fees if they weren’t followed. Two days before check in, received another long email with additional restrictions and charges. Beware you will incur additional charges if you don’t lock the gate, put the trash or linens in the correct place, or splash water out of the hot tub. All of the restrictions and fear of being charged left us on edge and not able to enjoy our stay.

Beautiful and Peaceful

The host, Brian, is very friendly and accommodating. The trials are just a short drive away. When we weren't riding, the lake was a great place to fish or just relax and enjoy the wildlife.

Quick Bday Getaway - Unorganized Check In

I book with VRBO for the convenience of the booking process. Book, Checkin, Stay, Check Out. Unfortunately that was not the case here. I booked my stay and then the property owner emailed me letting me know that there will be an additional $75 cleaning fee added because they do not start a stay on Saturdays, or Sundays (Which VRBO allowed us to book) We then had to sign a waiver, and send our DL. (Which I have never had to do before using VRBO.) There were about 15 emails throughout the week prior with additional fees, crazy long instructions that were difficult to understand until you read over everything many times. It took SO MUCH of my time, and to be honest put a major damper on our relaxation before we even arrived. The day of we were let know that we had been upgraded to the nicer/more private cabin on the property. We were very excited, and thankful, but upon arrival, the cabin had not been cleaned or ready for us. We went to our original cabin (which seemed ready) We contacted the owner, and he apologized and let us know that the hot tub had not been cleaned yet on that property. So for the first hour of our stay, his entire family was right out our window cleaning up our property while our dogs were barking at them. Not relaxing:( Overall, the property was as expected, and the small lake was beautiful, but it would be a toss up if we would stay again, because of all of the inconvenience of the unorganization of the property owner.
