Welcome to Starling, an AvantStay home!

Rejoice in the serenity that exudes from this dreamy Big Bear getaway. Spend your days galivanting around the nearby lake, shred some snow on Big Bear Mountain or take to one of the many hiking trails nearby. The interior of this home is a warm invitation of bright tones and gorgeous modern furnishings. The kitchen is any chef's dream come true and is perfect for whipping up delightful meals that are sure to bring the whole crew together. Spend your evenings cozying up around the fireplace while the musician amongst you gets a singalong going with the aid of the provided guitar.

AvantStay provides an upscale experience with services that elevate your stay and save time so you can enjoy every moment. Guests have access to a 24/7 support team. Whether it’s fridge stocking or in-home massages, AvantStay offers a variety of upgrades & experiences to enhance your stay.

Home Truths:
- This home allows pets for a fee. If undisclosed pets are brought into the home without AvantStay's approval there is a fine of $500 per pet.
- Please note, all persons (including infants, children and visitors) at the home are counted towards the total occupancy of the home. Guests cannot exceed the permitted occupancy at any time.
- This home can accommodate 10 people.
- This home does not have AC.
- Use of outdoor spas and other outdoor activities are prohibited from 10 pm - 7 am.
​​​​​​​- No amplified sound is permitted outside at any time. Indoor sound cannot be loud enough to be audible at the property line.
​​​​​​​- Guests are responsible for disposing trash at local dumpsite in accordance with City of Big Bear policy. Charges may apply if left on property
- AvantStay plows and clears the driveway and one pathway to the front door. We provide shovels for guests to use should they wish to clear paths on any other part of the property.

Accidental Damage Protection: A non-refundable accidental damage protection plan has been included in the price of your reservation. Under this plan, you will not be held responsible to pay for accidental damage or loss to the rental property resulting from you or others in your party up to $2000. This plan does not cover intentional acts of a guest, gross negligence, or willful and wanton conduct, and/or damages caused by pets. This plan is not available for reservations 28 days or longer or reservations that require a security deposit.

You will be asked to sign a Big Bear Good Neighbor Policy prior to your stay.

This is a smoke-free property. Violation of the no-smoking policy will result in forfeiture of the security deposit, a $300 smoking fee, and liability for any fire or property damage costs.

As part of our commitment to being good neighbors, occupancy limits and quiet hours (9pm-8am) are strictly enforced. No speakers or sound systems will be provided for use in our properties. Violation of any noise ordinances will be subject to fines that can reach up to $10,000 per violation.

Events or parties are not allowed without prior written approval and an additional fee. Any unauthorized parties or events will be shut down and a fine will be assessed. Please inquire for more information about our event policies and fees.

There is nothing more important to us at AvantStay than the health, safety, and experience of our guests & staff. We've enhanced our cleaning and sanitation protocols and are taking extra care to disinfect all surfaces between reservations with hospital-grade disinfecting solutions.

As a reminder, we do work with 3rd party vendors to maintain the property, and although we adhere to the strictest CDC guidelines and advise all contractors to wear PPE equipment, we can not always enforce. We strongly advise guests to please deny access if any vendors fail to meet and adhere to these standards.

IDs will be requested for verification after booking. All bookings over 30 days require a security deposit.

We report and prosecute all Credit Card Fraud.

Great Big Bear Getaway For The Whole Family!

Loved the location for skiing… very close to Snow Summit, Big Bear and restaurants and shops. The game room/ garage was great for the son and his friends (teenagers) and the primary suite upstairs was nice and private. My only negatives… the fireplaces did not have any wood so no way to light them. And the overall cleanliness of the house was a bit dusty and could have used a cleaning… felt like maybe it was not used for awhile and just needed a refresh. But otherwise, it was great!

Great Home

Check in was very easy and AvantStay provided helpful information prior to checkin. The house was centrally located the ski areas and walkable into downtown. We throughly enjoyed our stay.

Mini Big Bear Getaway

We were in BB for the Tour de Big Bear cycling event and a quick summer getaway with family. I selected this property for its floor plan (4/3); modern vibe (so tired of dark green carpet, dark wood paneling, and red & green plaid accents) 😁 and location (walking distance to the park, lake, and Eagle Point (a really nice neighborhood to walk in). The house easily accommodated a couple of nights with cycling friends (8) before switching over to welcome our family (6). We found the house clean and well appointed (maybe a few more dish towels-Lol), and the bed and bath set-up suited both groups well. The combo living & dining rooms, adjacent to the large kitchen was perfect. The weather was beautiful for grilling and eating dinner on the patio. The pool table, Air Hockey, and spa were big hits - all in good working order - Thank You! Avantstay personnel answered my questions timely and the App is easy to use. I would rent this property again and will watch for other Avantstay properties.
