Welcome to Summit Pines. Big Bear Lake, Snow Summit, and Big Bear Village shopping and restaurants all close by. Less than 1/2 mile to Snow Summit Summit Pines is a true cabin with log fixtures & furniture throughout. The Cabin has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, with a Large Open Great Room. It has an open concept floor plan perfect for family gatherings, games, and good times. The Great room is our favorite part of the cabin. Additionally, there is a relaxing outdoor spa on the large full length of house back deck with great views. There are also great hills on the property for sledding in the winter time.

Area:
Perfectly located less than a mile from Snow Summit. You'll have the ease of a quick drop or walk to the shuttle pick up spot or a short drive for drop off. You are also a short walk to the Lake and Central Park. Great area We are centrally located to grocery stores, restaurants, shopping in the downtown big bear village, and close to the marina for lake and boating activities. Everything is at your fingertips. Location! Location! Location!

Kitchen:
The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking and entertaining with an open concept to the family great room and dining so you never miss the action or conversations. The dining room table seats 8+ people for meals with 6 countertop eating spots. Plenary of room for large family meals.

Great Room:
The main feature in the great room is the large full size river rock fireplace with two comfortable oversized leather chairs with a chess table ready for play. Also featured is one of the largest leather reclining sectional couches on the mountain seating more than 12 or more people with 5 double seats recliner sections. The couch is perfect for movie and game watching on the 60" Flat screen TV as well as a taking a long nap and is nearly impossible to get up from.

Bedrooms:
Master Bedroom: A great retreat with a comfortable King size log bed. There is a comfy oversized chair perfect for a break from the rest of the house to read a book, watch a movie on the 55" smart TV or just relax. The master bath features a large soaker tub a separate shower and double sinks.

Bedroom #2: features a King bed with 2 built in twin bunk beds in the doorless walk in closet. Also has a 48" smart TV. Great for a small size family.

Bedroom #3: features Two "full over full" bunk beds sleeping up to 8 people. It also has a TV and DVD player.

Back Deck:
features great views, 6 person eating table with umbrella, BBQ, and full size Hot Tub.

Garage:
2 car garage with Ping Pong Table, Foos Ball, Darts, and unlimited firewood to use.

Property:
has great hills for kids to sled all day long from front yard to backyard. The backyard is fully fenced in with gate.

Impressive all around

Great property. Just as advertised- it was clean, convenient, and comfortable! The best part was communication with the owner. He made sure we had everything, we were settled in, and then let us have our vacation without needing to check in once or twice a day. The best part was he let us check in early and gave us a late check out time without us even asking. We ended up with a surprise extra vacation day as we didn’t have to check out till three instead of 10 like normal. I’d absolutely stay here again.

Great time!

We had a great time staying here. The house was clean and organized. Lots of fun games for our kids. It was so cozy and welcoming that our boys didn’t even want to to leave. Great location, very close to the village. We can’t wait to come back!

Great Cabin For Family Get Away

Nice place. We really enjoyed our stay. It was myself, my wife, her friend and six kids. The cabin easily accommodated us comfortably and the great room was fantastic for keeping an eye on the kids. The kids really loved the arcade game and being able to play in the snow on the property. I really liked the home was stocked with firewood. Good location. Close to everything.

Amazing!

We had a wonderful time staying at this cabin! It’s beautiful and spacious. We had 2 families stay- a total of 4 adults and 3 kids. Plenty of room and the location is wonderful. Ken was wonderful to rent from! We will definitely rent this place again!

Great Family Weekend Get Away

My family, wife, two daughters, 1 and 4, had a fantastic time at Ken’s cabin. The open floor great room is as advertised. We could keep an eye on the kids at all times. My wife and I loved sitting in the big leather chairs in front of the fire after the kids were in bed. Of course the spa is so enjoyable after skiing and playing in the snow with the kids all day. On the side of the house and in the back I was able to put a sled run together that my family had a blast on. We can’t wait to stay here again.

We loved our stay! The openness of the living area was perfect for our family. It was a perfect location to town and markets etc! Our host was awesome and checked in with us often to see if everything was ok. So close to Summit and Bear Mountain. You can’t go wrong with this place. 😊

Great Location!

This was our second time staying at this cabin. Our favorite thing about this cabin is it’s location. Lots of activities and restaurants just a few minutes away. We love how cozy it is. The pictures dont do it justice.

Great Family Home

We had the best time at this comfortable and spacious cabin. Ken was a great host who was kind enough to accommodate me as I planned a surprise bday trip for my mom. The home is actually quite perfect for families with smaller kids as it seemed rather safe and childproof with our variety of age ranges. Though there isn’t a railing in the bunks built into the closet, it is certainly the cutest use of space I’ve ever seen. Loved the single story open floor plan! A few minor things to note are that some sockets and doors that don’t work, the hot tub lights went out on us earlier than they should because they were programmed before the time change and we weren’t able to get any of the DVD players to work to enjoy the impressive movie collection but Ken was super helpful and responsive and willing to try and help so we appreciate that and would certainly recommend this home for a fun stay for a group. Thank you!

Wonderful Retreat Weekend!

Nice cabin, great check I and out process, a few minor issues

Ken was a nice host with an easy check in and out process. He was also flexible and allowed us to bring our small dog The cabin was fine, exactly as in the pictured. The main area is open, but feels small and a little busy with all the furniture (although that might be fine, depending on your taste) We loved the couch with reclining seats, the Pac-Man machine, the view from the Jacuzzi, the comfy beds, and the abundance of blankets and towels. The location was also great, walking distance to the lake and very close to the village and zoo. The small issues we had were: the cleanliness of the cabin - when we arrived, the deck was very dirty, I had to spend about an hour cleaning it to make it usable for the Jacuzzi and to use the grill, we also found water bottles and soda cans under the bed and couch, the garage was dirty with mud from car tires, I had to clean it before we could assemble the ping pong table and use the foosball table (which was also very dirty). In general, the cleaning crew needs to do a better job. Other minor issues were: the blinds are hard to open and close and some don’t fully close; the jacuzzi gets very hot and the temperature is hard to control; the garage where the ping pong and foosball table are is detached from the main house, so we couldn’t just leave the kids there to play alone .

Ken and Cabin are fantastic.

Ken was fantastic to work with. The cabin was great. Everything was as advertised. The check in instructions provided were spot on and made check in & out a breeze. The cabin is beautiful and cozy. Our girls loved the PAC MAN video game as did I (took me back to the 80’). The hot tub worked perfect. We enjoyed a warm cozy fire in the fireplace each night. We would definitely stay here again when we visit Big Bear.

Cozy Cabin in a Great Location

Our family of 4 loved this cozy and convenient cabin located just minutes from Snow Summit and plenty of shopping and restaurants. Our kids especially loved the arcade game and sledding on the side of the property and the large fireplace and oversized comfy couch made for relaxing evenings. Ken was a very responsive host and easy to work with and we looking forward to coming back in the future.
