"This property was perfect for our visit back to Alfred. It’s very close to the village but far enough away that nighttime was quiet and peaceful, and the architecture of the space is one of a kind. Peter was a great host and I’d highly recommend this for anyone visiting Alfred."

"My family has stayed in this home twice. The home is beautiful and spacious enough for a group of 8. The kitchen has been upgraded but does lack some basic essentials. As the listing states the home is going through some renovations but there was little to no impact to us other than the hot water in one of the bathrooms was dripping and didn’t actually turn on. I emailed the property manager so hopefully it will be addressed before the next stay."

"We stayed here mostly to see the eclipse. Unfortunately Mother Nature did not cooperate. Property is well maintained and has all the basic needs. Pool, sauna, hot tub and jacuzzis were appreciated after days spent at Niagara Falls and Letchworth park. House layout is a little quirky, but no big deal. Trail ride at the horse farm was very enjoyable."

"We loved our stay at this rental. We were in town for a college visit at St.Boneventure and this was a quick 30 min drive for us. Cozy home that was clean, and easy to access. The shower and bathroom set up for a tiny house was beautiful. Only suggestion would be the TV set up is a little small and awkward and I feel there is room for a larger bed in the loft area. Was just a little to small for 2 people."

The fact that it’s so spacious is perfect, you don’t feel like you’re on top of each other. Great kitchen! Very thoughtful Coffee Bar. And the beds are really comfortable. "This was a great place with plenty of room. The amenities were excellent. We really enjoyed the coffee bar and the shower experience! We didn't even have time to use the hot tub or outdoor spaces that are thoughtfully set up. There were options for kids, the theater room was super cute, and we comfortably prepared and served dinner for our large family. Our only regret is not finding this excellent value, just 20 minutes from Houghton College, sooner!"

"I have stayed at about 3 Vrbo homes so far with my boyfriend, (I’m from Washington so it’s quite the treat when I can make my way down!) and this one takes the cake. Absolutely stunning property in the middle of upstate New York, the pictures don’t do it justice! Spacious living room with a television, very comfy couch and chairs, and a very comfortable queen sized bed in an adorable master bedroom. The host makes you feel right at home with so many amazing amenities that are rare to find...

"The property was delightful, very clean and well equipped, and provided the perfect location for a family weekend. Plenty of space for all. Comfortable for the elderly members and the teenagers, who enjoyed the pickleball court."

"Plumbing was a challenge because couldn’t wash dishes without boiling water and didn’t want to wash ourselves or brush our teeth with the smelly water. Also, the propane only lasted 2 days; was dead on 3rd day (probably because of boiling water). We enjoyed the solitude, even though the road noise is present. All in all it was a pleasant couple days as we lucked out with beautiful weather."
