"We had a fantastic stay at this quirky and beautiful hotel. Even though we had booked the petite double room it didn't disappoint. As hotel rooms go it wasn't small. Beautifully decorated with beautiful ornate furniture and very comfy bed. Tea , coffee and water replenished every day. The breakfast and food in the restaurant was excellent. Staff were excellent, lovely and friendly. We would definitely go back. "

"I was a completely unplanned visitor who trekked the moors at night to reach the Inn. Though the only thing that happened on the moors was fulfilling an American's silly Holmesian fantasy of walking the moors at night, everyone was concerned for my safety and I really appreciated that. My stay was wonderful, the food was really delicious, and everyone with whom I spoke was just up-front and pleasant. I will be back some day and guess where I'll stay?"

"Staff very friendly on arrival, room lovely and clean. I had a pizza from the restaurant and they brought it to my room- tasted amazing !! Nice beds, lovely breakfast. Would recommend and will stay again. Only slight niggle only 1 bottle of water in the room for 3 people and 1 pack of biscuits. I appreciate putting 3 bottles in might be a waste but 2 between the 3 of us would have been better and 2 packs of biscuits would have meant we could all have 1 biscuit.
