"We had a courtyard room, so no ocean view, but there is a grand view from the roof top deck, where they have free breakfast.We had a hot tub in our room, which I chose over the ocean view. We wore the robes down to the beach to watch the sunset, then jumped in the ocean before coming back to the hottub. They had free pie and ice cream in the evening, and help yourself to free popcorn. There were bicycles, and things for the beach available, but we didn't stay long enough to use any of that....

The experience was incredibly peaceful and restorative, offering stunning views of the bay covered in gorgeous ocean fog, set to the sound of birds singing. The facilities were top-notch: the bathrooms and showers are clean, and we appreciated the free morning coffee. "What a wonderful surprise was the La Fonda Hotel from the delightful check in staff to the “goodie” basket and all the receptions. The room was immaculate and the bed most comfortable. The hotel was just decorating for Christmas which gave it a magical atmosphere. The staff was to helpful and so eager to please. The location of the hotel is excellent to restaurants, wine tasting and walks on the beach. We highly recommend a stay at this lovely, cozy beach town hotel."
