Tricked out of the property we paid for
45 minutes prior to arriving, the property owner informed me that VRBO double booked the property and that the other family had shown up before us. I contacted VRBO, that was a lie. The owner placed us in the lesser property he had available but charged us the same price as the higher quality property we had paid for a month in advance. Apparently he rented out the property we had originally paid for to a large group throwing a party. 20 plus cars lined the driveway, all the way down to our lot. Cars and traffic right next to our building ALL night. My assumption, which is probably correct, is that he got paid a substantial amount of money to rent that property out from under us to accommodate this party…and instead of giving us notice to where we had the option of renting from someone/somewhere else, he chose to lie and cheat us out of what was supposed to be a relaxing anniversary weekend along with our money. Disgusting and Horrible way to treat people Just to make a buck.
