"The quiet room and comfortable bed."

"The property is an older one but as a whole it is good. It is not fancy but it was clean and everything worked. This is the first time I stayed since it became a Whyndam property. I miss the breakfast as now it is continental. It was well stocked with cold cereals, oatmeal, bagels, etc. They also had some microwaveable breakfast items and hard boiled eggs, juice, coffee and yogurt."

"The staff was incredibly nice and helpful. Tje rooms were clean and well stocked. The only thing I would suggest is to better maintain the common areas, both inside and outside (i.e. The elevator floor and the smoking area outside). However, the stay was great!"

"The Hotel itself is above average, the staff is professional, efficient and friendly. In their lobby is a very cool replica civil war canon. Overall good experience with the hotel. The attached restaurant however is another story entirely as multiple staff struggled with the basics. Do yourself a favor and dine elsewhere."

"The rooms at the front of the property were near the highway. The street noise made it difficult to sleep or even relax. I was booked for 2 nights and when I asked to check out after one night, the manager quickly changed my room so it was quieter. He was concerned that I wouod not find alternative accomadations over the holiday weekend and at the last minute."

I thought this was fair and satisfactory. Yet when I followed up regarding the status of the refund, I was told that I had to handle this with Expedia. So there maintenance problem, which put me at risk, is not my responsibility? That is a failure to take responsibility for customer service. (And there was no shampoo, so...
