"Great location, much quieter than midtown yet easy access to the subway network so could get everywhere quickly. Rooms were great - we had a 4-bedroom unit which was perfect for a couple and 3 teenagers. Lots of eateries and bars nearby. Next to piers for ferries to Staten Island and uptown along the East River. "We enjoyed our stay at EVH. It was close to our son’s apartment as well as the subway and great restaurants. The area was totally safe and the staff we did see were very friendly. It was nice having a kitchenette. A suggestion would be to provide maybe some paper towels for the kitchen area or more than one kitchen towel. "

"Great spot. The email with the relevant codes and information on which unit we were staying in did not arrive on time, which was a problem and meant that we had to call to get the relevant information. The only other issue is that it can be noisy on the lower floors with people walking in and out through doors on the ground floor that slam shut constantly and are very noisy. Management should install some hydraulic door closing devices to control that issue. Double glazing on the windows will...

"The end of the bed is RIGHT by the front door, but tbh, it didn't hinder the charm and coziness of this place. Yeah it's a bit cramped, but we weren't in NYC to stay in our room. We loved that is was right in the middle of all the hustle and bustle of the city. So many bodegas and pizza places and other food stops to browse within walking distance.
