"Perfect property for the group of friends. Facilities are excellent, enough rooms and Bathrooms. Outdoor tennis court is well maintained. Extra payment for Spa access but all worth it. Enjoyed our stay."

"The shack served what I needed with my dog and me for a few days and was reasonably clean. Wifi was great when i needed to do some work online. Yard was great for the dog and secure.( although a lockable side gate would feel more secure) I missed being able to open a window (odd) to let the sea air in & perhaps a Smart TV to link into would be a future touch. And just a little thing missing was oven trays. Small things. Happy stay."

"We had a really lovely stay over a wintery long weekend. Check in / out was easy. The house was comfortable, warm and in a great location. The kitchen was perfect for us to be able to dine in. Bedding was super comfy. Spacious living areas made for a relaxing, lovely stay. We would definitely like to return someday soon."

"Bootmakers is cosy, warm and full of character - rustic, quirky, full of vintage curios and surprising discoveries. Owners have thought of everything guests could possibly need, including ample breakfast provisions and pantry staples. Located in the centre of the lovely little township - with gastropub and shops a short walk away, and a short drive from the wonderful Brae restaurant. Would love to go back when the weather is warmer to take better advantage of the large courtyard out the back...

"The house was nice and spacious for 8 adults. The kitchen lacked supplies so definitely bring your own. The cleanliness was good but not excellent. The fire was cosy. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would consider booking the house again. Thank you!"

"The photos on the Stayz site do not reflect the shabby state of this property. We stayed in winter and wanted an open fire place. The fireplace was dirty and filled with debris - not set to light as many other places we have stayed have been. There was no firewood inside so hubby had to cart it back and forth from the shed and no kindling or firelighters which we had to go and buy ourselves. Both sofas had dog hair all over them so I thought i'd vacuum them - the vacuum wasn't really working....

"Overall was very nice, however when I walked through on my own a few minutes after picking up keys I walked through numerous cobwebs downstairs. These were in the hall and the second and third bedrooms. No other areas."

"A lovely property close to playgrounds and supermarket, kept extremely clean by the reassuring shoes off rule indoors. Also included is a cupboard full of toys and puzzles targeted at varying age groups to keep them occupied. The kitchen and cookware is more than well-equipped, including quality pots, pans, hand held blender, air fryer, and rice cooker, etc. as well as both fresh and bottled herbs and spices. The owner's communication cannot be faulted and we've thoroughly enjoyed our stay....

"We enjoyed the location and the modern house. However the shower down below didn’t drain properly, the septic tanks gave off a smell that lingered all weekend, the spa wasn’t that clean and no chlorine available to use. Didn’t wreck our weekend, but they need to be addressed."
