"On arrival the greeting was so welcoming. We had also had an upgrade in room. The room spotless and a gorgeous view of the well maintained garden. The breakfast was amazing with both a choice of fresh fruit, cereal, yoghurt. Then a coked breakfast with several choices of either full cooked or eggs Benedict, scrambled eggs and bacon, eggs Florentine also vegetarian choices. This was an outstanding experience."

"Really loved out stay at Little Mell Fell. Great instructions to find it. Set up really well for either a couple or a family of 4. Love that it's pet friendly. Was really clean and felt relatively recently done. The location was great to get around Ullswater and out to the surrounding lakes. "

"Lorna was so incredibly accommodating and kind. She also made one of the best vegan breakfasts I've ever had and even went out of her way to get additional vegan snacks and treats when we mentioned it in the optional booking information (when she contacted me within about 15 minutes of booking). The beds are comfortable and the bathroom was modern with a good shower. Very close to town, either by the road or scenic railway path."

"Our room was lovely, and the house hotel is absolutely stunning. From here, we could see CatBells Mountain and Fitz Park, where people were playing golf. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good. Parking is right next to the building. All are excellent."

"A wonderful pet friendly hotel in the heart of Grasmere. It was decorated beautifully, and the room we had was spacious and clean. The breakfast was delicious, with a range of cooked options and a buffet style breakfast too (not to mention the dog got a sausage every morning!). Our only feedback would be that our room wasn’t cleaned during our stay, though it was only three nights. It would’ve been good to have the mugs and water jug refreshed, however I’m sure if we’d asked this would’ve...

"Breakfast was excellent but fried eggs were over cooked and not nice. Fried eggs should have a nice soft runny h yolk a minor point which I am sure can be easily sorted"

"There was a musky smell and mould in the bathroom. Not recommended at all."
