Summary:

Fully self contained cottage located conveniently in the south eastern corner of Adelaide city.

Easy access to CBD (walk or free public bus), Adelaide Hills, and other wine or walking regions.

Totally sole use.

Fully equipped kitchen (generous supplies of tea, coffee and milk provided).

Can sleep 3rd person on double sofa bed (extra fee applies for 3rd person), highchair and cot also available for use - at request.

Luggage drop off or hold may be possible subject to other bookings.



The Space:

Sole use.

One bedroom row cottage (with double sofa bed if needed) built around 1875 but updated with modern facilities in the past few years.

Quiet area of the city, but also close enough to the city action

Easy access to CBD and regions.

Many eating and coffee places within a few minutes walk.

Supermarket (IGA) just around corner.

Free bus just around the corner.

Approx 60 sq metres of space.

I made a booking through Stayz for a property in Adelaide. From start to finish it was a confusing and distressing process. This was made even more stressful by the fact that I was travelling for grief related reasons and the booking was last minute.Check in processAt the time I made the booking I believed the process was complete. At about 2pm on the afternoon of check in I had still not received any check in instructions so I made a phone call. I was then sent a link where the check in instructions were placed behind a previously undisclosed paywall.To access the instructions I was required to either pay a 550 bond that would be fully returned, or a 50 deposit that would be forfeited. These charges were not disclosed in the cost breakdown at the point of sale through Stayz where all charges are required to be listed. In order to complete this process on a third party platform I was also required to provide biometric data including my licence and a selfie. This felt unsafe and intrusive and was not disclosed at the time of booking through Stayz.Once I completed this process I was given only two dot points of instructions:The lock box is located on centre postThe code is …Misleading listing descriptionThis may seem trivial but after driving all day, having difficulty with parking and finding the property, I became very distressed when I could not locate or open the lock box on the centre post as described in the instructions. Soiled couch cover, sloppy and distasteful.
Tired cheap couch, not a nice sitting environment. Feels stuffy, dark. Aircon not working as expected on hot adelaide evening on arrival.

Bag of dog faeces left at property dirty frying pan in cupboard mould on chopping board, we expect some sort of cleaning required to use the bbq outdoor furniture and clothes line but I wasn’t prepared to clean months of cobwebs in order to use them

Location, location!

Loved staying at this cottage for 3 nights for our Adelaide stay! Everything you need is provided… there is even a full length mirror which most places we’ve stayed don’t have! The cottage is good for a single traveller or a couple. We also had our 2 whippets and there is a small yard out back which came in handy. The location is fantastic with cafes, shops, pubs etc in short walking distance
