"This is an absolutely fantastic hotel which is owned and run by a really lovely family. Everything is spotless from the public areas to our room. It is about a forty minute walk to the centre of Chania which was fine for us as we enjoy walking but there is a service bus a couple of minutes away. "

"We stayed at Portou House for 5 nights and had an excellent time. Very good location in Chania Old Town. Communication was great from start to finish with Julia being very responsive. We were pleasantly surprised with a bottle of wine for my Partner’s birthday which was a nice touch. "Wonderful small hotel close to everything. 10 minutes walk from bus station. Port only 5 mins walk, authentic restaurants all around, but not noisy, our room was very clean and comfortable with lovely little touches, raki, sweets, coffee pod's, safe and fridge. "La habitación doble ensuite es amplia (la del mezzanine un poco ruidosa porque está encajada entre las 2 cocinas). Se dispone de distintos espacios para cocinar/comer. Piscina pequeña pero puede ser un oasis si hace mucho calor (supongo). Calidad del wifi muy buena. El personal es muy atento (recepción y limpieza). Gestión de reservas para excursiones positiva. Recomiendo unirse al grupo de Whatsapp para estar a la última. Como no está en el centro històrico es muy fácil moverse (Nea Chora Beach...

"Stunning property in a gorgeous quiet location, owner is absolutely fabulous. Bus from airport is Euro2.50 and drops off about 15 mins away from here. Or taxi is about EURO30. Owner can arrange too. Really modern property, lovely pool. 10 minute walk to local bars cafes etc, then approx 10/15 mins more to Chania centre. Would stay here again in a flash. Pool area was perfect and relaxing after a busy morning wandering around Chania "

"El hotel es nuevo por lo que su estado es bueno. Las habitaciones amplias y cómodas. Las cortinas supuestamente opacas no lo son, y en cuanto amanece entra luz. Hay muchísimos niños y los gritos y ruidos que conlleva. El servicio de habitaciones no repone los geles, y la limpieza es bastante general. Reservamos una habitación con vistas a la montaña, y las vistas eran el edificio de enfrente. No hay nadie nunca en recepción, vayas a la hora que vayas. Y cuando llamas al timbre viene una mujer...

"We booked a one bedroomed apartment which was spacious and comfortable. The rooms were cleaned daily and all staff were friendly and approachable. Booking through Hotels.com I was advised that the air con and safety deposit box was included in that price which was a nice surprise. The location is ideal and the local bus service ensures you can easily connect to the other resorts as well as Chania town which is a nice trip out. The shower was at head height which you’ll appreciate is a luxury...

"La verdad el hotel es estupendo, esta un poco alejado del centro pero es mejor, se recomienda alquilar un coche para poder recorrer todo, no se encuentra totalmente en la canea pero tiene muy facil llegado. lo bueno del hotel aparte del servicio y demas es que posee cocina propia en las habitacion asi que podes cocinarte algo tranquilamente. SUPER RECOMENDABLE"

He was really friendly and communicated with us throughout our stay via WhatsApp. The room was spacious, clean and modern, and the view from our balcony was stunning. "Los empleados son muy amables y atentos, el desayuno buffet es correcto, hay un poco de todo, sobretodo "harinas" (panes,tostas, bizcochos...) Lo mejor la ubicación, una playa de aguas cristalinas a 10 metros del hotel. Zona tranquila y segura a 15 minutillos andando del centro, no tiene pérdida. La habitación cómoda aunque el baño deja mucho q desear, son platos de ducha pegadas al wc sin separación, pero al final te acabas acostumbrando."
