Family holiday

A lovely house and garden with stream at the end. The river is close by, and was idyllic to paddle board / kayak on and has a well used cycle route alone it. The tennis court, almost next to the house, was always available. Location is rural but it is easy to get to Amsterdam and lots of other places. Caroline was quick to respond to messages. Highly recommend and hope to visit again soon.

Family holiday

The house and garden are beautifully maintained and there are lovely, scenic bike rides right on the doorstep. Amsterdam is easy to visit using the park and ride car parks on the outskirts and there are lots of other places nearby for day trips. We really enjoyed our stay.

Tolles Haus in toller Lage

Mitten im Naturschutzgebiet. Amsterdam, Utrecht, Den Hag und Antwerpen liegen in 30-45 Min Entfernung. Wir hatten einen tollen abwechslungsreichen Urlaub. Viele Sport- und Freizeitmoglichkeiten (Kanu, Fahrrad, Tennis, Tischtennis) direkt vor Ort. Sehr nette Vermieterin. Sehr nett

Formidables vacances

La location est idéalement située dans une zone naturelle et très proche de lieux touristiques comme Amsterdam, Gouda, Leyde, Amersfoort, La Haye... La maison est très pratique, très joliment décorée et nous avons pu bénéficier du nouvel aménagement des chambres (encore mieux que sur les photos). De plus le jardin est magnifique, bien aménagé avec un accès direct très bucolique au canal. Nous remercions Caroline pour son accueil et sa disponibilité.

Cottage in a park

As Canadians we enjoy our cottages. This house allowed us to experience Dutch “ cottage “ life! A house on a small canal near a big canal set in a park! The property was peaceful, with kayaks and bicycles to use. A short drive to 3 great restaurants. Also close to Leiden and den Haig. The house was well equipped, with character and comfort. Comfortable beds. As advertised! We really enjoyed our stay!

beste Erholung in Südholland

Die Kommunikation mit der Gastgeberin lief bestens, begrüßt wurden wir von einer Freundin, da Caroline im Urlaub war. Per Whatsapp war sie aber immer erreichbar (z.B. für die Reservierung des Tennisplatzes) und erkundigte sich auch nach unserem Wohlergehen. Haus und Garten sind einfach schön, liebevoll eingerichtet und sehr gut ausgestattet. Die wichtigsten Basics (Kaffee, Tee, Zucker, Toilettenpapier, Spülmittel, Spültabs, Lappen, Geschirrtücher) sind vorhanden und man spart sich so etwas Gepäck bzw. muss nicht sofort einkaufen. Handtücher und Bettwäsche sind reichlich vorhanden, nicht nur ein Set pro Person. Und dann gibt es ja noch Fahrräder, Kanus, Tennisausrüstung. Gut ist auch, dass es einen Gefrierschrank gibt. Trotz des teilweise sehr schlechten Wetters (Regen satt) hatten wir eine sehr schöne Zeit und haben uns gut erholt. Herzlichen Dank an Caroline!

“Our vacation at the country house in Zevenhoven was fantastic. Caroline gave us a warm welcome; wine, waffles, and chips were all available. Spices and basic groceries were provided for a good start. The bed quality was excellent, and we felt secure and well-protected under the mosquito nets. The garden, situated right by a small canal covered in water lilies, provided space for many ball games. Various seating areas throughout the large garden invited us to linger. We felt like in paradise; we used two available canoes, played tennis every day on the tennis court located 50 meters away, and swam in the river located 100 meters away. Thank you very much for this beautiful vacation.”

Lovely garden

Charming property in a lovely area. Really appreciated the air conditioning in the bedrooms. It was very hot while we were there. The garden is a great place to sit out. If you are up early enough you might see the hedgehogs!

Love this property

We enjoyed a second stay at this lovely property. Caroline was very accommodating and helpful through the booking and stay. We would definitely recommend this property for any families wanting a peaceful time in the Dutch countryside. We will definitely return.

Perfekte Unterkunft

We, 4 mature women, loved sharing and eating and relaxing in the large kitchen/dining table and in the outside garden/patio area. We enjoyed the scenery and short driving distance to surrounding towns. Thanks for a wonderful vacation learning about out ancestry.

Our stay at Zevenhoven

We had a great stay at Caroline’s property near Zevenhoven. Caroline was a great host and her property was fabulous. We enjoyed the use of the garden, kayaks, bikes and tennis court. The property was ideally situated to explore the surrounding countryside including Amsterdam and Gouda. The information pack was really useful for finding local restaurants etc. Thanks for the great stay.

Wunderschönes Ferienhäuschen etwas abseits gelegen.

Dieses Ferienhäuschen hat viel zu bieten (Kanu, Tennis, Fahrräder, WLAN Musikbox Sonos, Kaffeemaschine etc.). Das Grundstück ist herrlich und liegt an einem kleinen Kanal, der den Grachten in Amsterdam nachempfunden ist. Von Mijdrecht ist das Haus etwas schwierig zu erreichen. Zum Supermarkt in Noorden und den wunderschönen Restaurants in Nieuwkoop ist der Weg allerdings akzeptabel kurz.
