"Cool little cabin! Right next to the river. Great biking near by. Close to the little town. Quiet and comfortable. Has a small kitchen which was nicely stocked. Was there during a hot weekend (95ish) and was worried about no AC, but somehow the place stayed nice and cool. Would definitely stay there again"

"Right across the street from the lake with gorgeous views from the kitchen table -- we fell in love with Donner Lake! The cabin was comfortable, but rustic as you'd expect for a mountain lake cabin (eg some damage to floors, janky interior doors, kitchen table wobbly). Dealing with Vacasa as a renter instead of an actual owner is always less personal and more commericalized ... eg they were happy to offer late check out, if we paid an additional fee$$ But overall we loved the location, there...

"Great home in a perfect location with lake access. Communication with the host and responsiveness is fantastic. Nothing more we can ask for. "

Great kitchen that was fully stocked - bring food and you should have all the tools to make it. Movie Theater seating and ease of using said movie theater (we just brought a laptop). "The house was a perfect way to show East coast relatives California. The space easily accommodated 7 adults (3 couples 1 and a 1-year old. The kitchen was spectacular - made it easy to prepare meals. Hosts graciously allowed us to use paddle boards and kayaks. We had a terrific time."

"This little cabin was in an ideal getaway spot close to hiking trails and perfectly situated in the mountains. Be aware that it is a mountain cabin. Everything works, and everything is clean, but it is a rustic. Specifically, there are tricks to getting a hot shower, but don't give up the water heater does work. They just did a whole bunch of improvements, and it made the cabin very comfortable. This is a mountain gem, and I couldn't recommend it more."

"Beautiful and well appointed home! We celebrated my birthday with our children and our grandchildren. Everyone loved having their own space to rest and relax, yet come together in the large spaces to enjoy dinner, games, and conversation. Thank you!!"

"Nice place. good location for skiing Palisades and Northstar. Convenient to shopping in Truckee. If snow is in the forecast - 4WD! "

"This lovely and amazing VRBO hosted by Diane, who went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable, made for a wonderful romantic getaway for two that we can easily see extending to a week's stay with the whole family. Diane has set the house up to be very generously appointed, with everything from martini glasses to a rice cooker, making it feel like a home away from home (with way more options for entertaining). The space is quiet, clean, and private, yet fun, with plenty to do both indoors...

"This is our fourth visit to the Capone's wonderful cabin at Serene Lakes. It accommodates our entire family (ages 3 to 74) very well. There are enough nooks for the quiet ones to find a peaceful spot, tables for board games, and wonderful bikes, kayaks and canoes to be used on the lovely lake and quiet mountain roads and paths. Thanks Capone family!"

"Had a great time. Driveway is very steep so you need 4wd to fully access this property. Otherwise it's great."

"This property was great, our family was very happy with the house. The West End Beach is only 2 min drive from the house and a fabulous place to hang out for the day on Donner Lake with bathrooms and picnic tables and a playground for the kids. There is a very small beach across the street but it is very rocky and was hard for the little kids. There is a fishing dock right across the street and it was a fun place for the kids to catch crawdads. Over all our family gives this house a 5 star...
