"This is a great property. Peaceful, surrounded by fields & forests, birds singing, and fresh air. Wonderful parks and trails near by. Dan was a great host. I want to come back and stay in the fall and winter. This would also be a great place for a family get away"

I was able to walk easily to the small grocery store. We walked to Mayo and St. Mary’s but sometimes took uber. The home was nicely stocked with high quality supplies. It was great to have pryex to store leftover food in. The owners also reached out to check on us after some severe weather. I felt very safe in this home and walking in...

"We had a fantastic stay, really appreciated the proximity to all sorts of fun family activities - we did the Mystery Cave Scenic Tour, our own Amish country driving tour (courtesy of the host supplied map), biked a ton, went to the community pool, did a few of the "nine hole" fishing spots in Preston (stop by Curt's and/or Driftless Flying Fishing for tips), and went for a tube float down the Root River with Root River Outfitters. "Chris was very responsive and always had an open line of communication with us. The house was a little dated and creaky, but insanely charming and cozy! The only thing I will note (and may have missed in the listing) is the AC for the house is just two window units upstairs, but it still remained nice and cool throughout the house while we were there and did not cause us any issues!"

"Efficient check-in. I received a detailed message via VRBO from owner a few days before arrival. The email contained all the information regarding the rental and surrounding area. The directions to the rental made it easy to find. This rental is handicapped accessible with no entry stairs, first floor bedroom and bathroom with easy shower entry. We enjoyed sitting on the deck and enjoying the quiet seclusion. "
