"We really enjoyed our week’s stay here. The outdoor space was really nice - both covered and uncovered patio, cornhole, and great fire pit. The lake was very beautiful and relaxing. Before 10a and after 6p everyday the lake becomes a 10pm lake which makes it extremely enjoyable. The A/C inside the house was dual zone, great and much needed! Large fully stocked kitchen and comfortable beds. We would definitely stay here again. "

"This little house exceeded our expectations! It was clean and comfortable, well-stocked, and cozy. It is conveniently located between Middlebury and Shipshewana, with restaurants and shopping less than 10 minutes away. We will definitely stay here when we visit the area again!"

"I spent every summer of my childhood in Oakwood, so I know the cottage well. It used to belong to Rev. Ross Cook. My grandparents were George and Marie Cook (no relation to Rev. Cook) and they built the cottage at 1019 S Lake Dr. They worked at the old hotel every summer for decades. My dad also worked there during his teen years and so did I. I loved the view of the park. "Amazing new property that keeps large groups in mind. Beds were plentiful and comfortable. We enjoyed that we could all sit together to eat. We had 16 in our group. We liked the 2 level lighting and the Sonos sound system. We were right on the lake and rented a pontoon that we were able to dock right at the house. There were also kayaks. We are looking to come back next year! Would 100% recommend. "

"It was a very nice place to stay while visiting Chain O Lakes State Park. I stayed here with my father when we weren't hiking. The place is small, but efficient with its use of space. It was very clean, and the checkin/checkout processes were simple and easy.We were able to cook our own breakfast each morning, and relax on the couch and watch TV each evening. "We very much enjoyed our stay at the cabin. The photos are accurate. The hot tub was wonderful. Kitchen utensils were well stocked, but could have used more plates, wine glasses, etc. We ate 2 meals in and had to wash dishes after each meal. Unit could also used more hooks -either in hallway or bathrooms for wet towels (from both bath and hot tub) Basement closet was unusable. No rod or hangers. We loved looking out over the lake and used the deck as weather permitted. It's a nice spot to relax...
