"Great location. We were in town for Fiesta, and the place was perfect to go to all the festivities. Walking distance to good food. The address was a little confusing, but all worked out in the long run. A little cramped for two people getting ready for formal events. Would be great for a TDY or place to stay for a while on business. Laundry facility was a bonus! "

"If you don’t mind 15 minute walks - there are restaurants nearby. I love the neighborhood. Downtown and shopping areas are a short drive. "

"Very helpful and friendly staff. Hot breakfast was waffles. Clean room. Bathroom needed updating but everything worked. Good price per night. Soft pillows were a bonus. Only concern our AC froze up but after turning it off for few hours it work fine again. It's perfect walking distance from river Walk and shops. Only con was pool was out of service. "

"Overall, I had a decent stay. The room was nice and the bathroom was beautiful — definitely a highlight. However, there were a few downsides. The bed was quite firm, and I woke up with some back discomfort. Also, food options for kids were pretty limited, which made dining a bit challenging for families. The pool area had a great vibe, especially with the live DJ — I really enjoyed that touch! That said, the pool did get overcrowded at times. Adding more lounge chairs could really help with...

"I did not appreciate the fire alarm being tested at 5:10 am on Thursday, August 7th. Nearly ruined my entire stay. Breakfast was good and the ladies responsible for making it happen were amazing."

"Hotel built in 1909 but was updated and has 2 elevators and valet parking. Room was spacious and clean, breakfast options and coffee were great. Fantastic location, 1 min walk to The Alamo, 5 min to Riverwalk and all the restaurants and shops there. Would definitely stay there again"

"I had a great time at La Luz. The top side bar had great music with a good view of down town San Antonio. Love the security, but parking is a bit of a different taste. There's available parking but because it's near everywhere, you'll have to pay with an app. Overall, I would do it again with the great comfortable of La Luz."
