"I wasn't sure what to expect before I arrived at the Derby Arms but the initial greeting was warm and sincere. My room was delightful, clean and well appointed with a good sized bathroom with both a bath and a choice of shower heads. "This is the 5th time we’ve stayed here in a year. Excellent stay, we were a little early for check in, however we had been sent the check in details earlier, so we entered the building to see if the room was ready, I was greeted at our room by a staff member/owner, he was putting the heating on in all the rooms because it was so cold - very thoughtful touch. The only minor comments we have, there was no body wash in our room, and no tap on the bath, had to fill bath with the shower head! Neither detracted from our stay, we can’t wait to visit again. "

"Great hotel. Booked it as a stop off to our onward journey. Good location. Very welcoming staff. Nice clean rooms. Plenty of space in the rooms. Breakfast was good. A little more selection would be good. But for the price paid, this is not a complaint. Hot and cold breakfast available. Rooms are nice a quiet. Blackout curtains kept the room nice and dark. I would book this hotel again!!"
