"We stayed 2 nights in this cute 4th floor apartment. It looks exactly the same in the photos. The historic home is really beautiful and the modern upgrades with fantastic air conditioning made our July stay very pleasant. I especially enjoyed sitting out on the little back deck in the morning. Yes, it is an older home so it has some quirks, but go in with an open mind and soak up the experience of this historic part of Hagerstown. "

"After a really stressful couple of weeks this property was just what we needed to reset our minds and bodies.The fact that we were able to bring our dog with us was a definite bonus. We spent most of our time relaxing on the porch with Zoey laying in the fenced in yard. Other times we sat by the creek and watched the geese and goslings swimming down stream. "We couldn’t believe how much space we had here - from the beautiful veranda to the stunning rooms to the pool and backyard - there was so much to explore and enjoy. The kids loved the “secret” Jefferson doors, all of the toys provided, the playground and the real player piano. Everyone loved the pool and large gathering spaces. "The house was much nicer than the pictures showed. They are in the process of remodeling and it was actually very nice. The host was unable to access Vrbo so he was not responsive to my messages. Vrbo put me in touch with him and he was on top of it from there. He was a good communicator once I got a hold of him. The place was much better than it looks in the pictures. The only down side was there are not nearly as many beds as listed. "

"We had a wonderful stay in Big Cove Tannery! The accommodation's were exceptional. Everything we needed was there. We loved the creek, the fire pit, playing cornhole, hot tub, and more. We kayaked, rode bikes, and went to wineries on the days the heatwave hit. We loved it here and hope to return. "
