"Check in couldn't have been easier. The kitchen was well equipped with basic spices, pots and pans, coffee, tea and appliances. Smooth Wi-Fi access. The house was clean, the bedding and towels were clean and my husband with a bad back found the mattresses comfortable.I will say that we ended up buying gallon jugs of water to drink because we found the tap water to be too metallic tasting. "I am a full time Mom of a disabled child. He had surgery 3 weeks ago, so I have been 24/7 caring for him as he heals. I had 24 hours to getaway and have always wanted to stay in a yurt. This popped up and was available last minute and was only 1.5 hours from my house. Upon my arrival, I contacted the property manager Josh as I didn’t get the arrival instructions from VRBO. "We stayed this past week with our two dogs, and it was a wonderful family vacation. We stayed in the Blacksmith Cottage, which was fully-furnished with everything we needed. The kitchen was clean and well-stocked with pots and pans, and the oven and fridge were great to have. The bathroom was clean and comfortable. "What a unique relaxing stay enjoying birding, kayaking, stargazing, sunsets off the bridge and watching the kids capture crabs galore. We loved the quirky cottage with its amazing large wrap around window views. Donna and Mike are caring hosts, offering plenty of tips on the area when asked. The island is conveniently located close to Yorktown and not far from Jamestown and Colonial Williamsburg. The kids also enjoyed both Yorktown and Jamestown beaches during the stay. "

"WOW, What can I say...I LOVE this rental. It definitely made me feel at home. This place had it all, all the things you would find in the kitchen including spices, coffee, ample space for entertaining. The dock, the pool, the kayaks, what more can I say, LOVE LOVE LOVE this rental. I would definitely recommend this. 100 stars!!!!"
