"Quiet , clean and friendly staff . Didn’t have housekeeping during my stay so would have appreciated a way to swap towels by putting them in a bag and getting a replacement set when needed . This is what they do in Japan . Also had to keep asking reception for my tea bags . Again a way to do this with a replenishment set each day would be helpful . Lots of construction in area due to light rail extension meant alot of roads and paths were shut which was annoying at times cos you had to keep...

"The location is perfect, right in the heart of Canberra. It's super convenient for visitors who have a car, and you can get around easily without a hitch. Plus, they have free EV charging stations, and the staff are really friendly and always helpful. We really enjoyed our stay in the interconnecting rooms. The rooms could have been bigger for the price, but they're super cute and well-kept throughout, giving off an antique vibe. Parking was also a breeze."

"It was unclear until we checked in that there wasn't a hotel restaurant but that it was a shared venue. At check-in we didn't receive any help with our luggage despite me being a solo mother with a young child. We repeatedly only received one face washer in the bathroom. I asked for an additional one on the second day but when the rooms were cleaned on the third day again we received only one face washer. No idea why!"

"Pool was heated to a really comfortable temperature considering Canberra weather was cloudy and 16 degrees. Rooms were clean and staff were very friendly. Sauna and gym in basement carpark which is not the nicest environment but the facilities are decent. "

"The room was not clean, the linen was smelly, the staff was not helpful. We booked accommodation for 4 people for 3 nights, I went to reception and told them the linen was smelly, the staff gave me new linen and told me to change it. Everyday we have to ask reception for toilet paper. It is first time staying at Forest Hotel and Apartment and last time too. Will nerves come back here. Would not recommend for anybody to stay here."

"The hotel is in a convenient location, which makes it easy to get around and access nearby shop and restaurant. However, the overall experience is let down by the very old-fashioned fit-out. The bathroom in particular feels outdated, with a shower over the bath rather than a separate unit, which isn’t very practical. The vanity tap was also difficult to use, making it frustrating to properly open and close. As for the advertised garden view, it was quite disappointing—more like an empty patch of...

"A beautiful easy place to stay with plenty of room. We had a ‘2 bedroom’ which was a 1 bedroom and a hotel room with a main thoroughfare which was super spacious, the beds were super comfy. Breakfast is fantastic consistently topped up with cooked fresh items as it got low. We also got room service which was delicious. The location is a bit of a longer walk compared to others on Northbourne if you wanted to access the shopping centre but doable. Would stay here again and again. "
