Sit on Your Deck in an Alpine Forest & Next to Mountain Stream

This 4 bedroom, 2.5 bath, fully furnished 1800 square foot home, sits on 2 acres bordering the national forest and right beside Venable Creek. The master bedroom has a king bed, walk in closet and full bath. The kitchen is fully equipped and includes a washer and dryer. Attached to the kitchen are a dining room with a view and a living room with a wood burning fireplace. Upstairs are 3 bedrooms. Located in an alpine setting, it is less than 0.5 mile from the Venable, Comanche and Rainbow trail head. Direct TV with all available channels on flat screen TVs in living room and kids bunk room.

This place was amazing! Inside perfect living space, clean. The real treat was outside. Venable creek is literally off the back deck. We sat out there listening and watching for hours. Plus it was a 2 minute drive to the Venable trail head. Great location for what we wanted. We had a. Issue with the fireplace our first night, the owner had people at the house within 15 minutes. No complaints whatsoever, my dogs loved it also. Will stay again! Ghanks

Great vacation! This was one of the nicest cabins we’ve stayed at. It checked all the boxes. The cabin was very clean, tastefully decorated, full of amenities, and set on private serene setting near the creek. The deck overlooking the creek has a gorgeous fire table that we enjoyed sitting at, visiting, and playing games on too. We left with so many wonderful lasting memories. Loved the hiking so close to the property too. We would definitely stay here again if back near Westcliffe. Richard was also very helpful and prompt with his responses with any questions we had.

Very nice place to spend relaxing time in a beautiful setting! Great remote location and close to some amazing trail heads. Facility was nicely furnished, and we didn't lack anything during our stay!

Great summer getaway

Overall the stay was great! Everything was well stocked and clean. The views were amazing and it was fun to hang out on the patio near the creek. The hike the owner suggested was a little harder than we expected but was beautiful.

Magical Alpine Cabin

We stayed five days in this wonderful home. The views were breathtaking and time seems to stand still when you go hiking just yards from the porch. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone who needs a break from city life. Richard was informative and very welcoming.

Peaceful Getaway

Gorgeous, cabin, gorgeous location. The creek right off the deck and the National Forest just up the hill made it the perfect place to escape the city and relax in the peaceful forest. Will be going back again for sure.

Short Family Get Together

We had a delightful time. The property was clean and well taken care of. We loved having Venable Creek just out the back door, and we enjoyed the deck and the soothing sounds of the creek. The cabin is very close to several trailheads. Wonderful stay.

Back again

We stayed here last year in August 2023 and loved the place. The best features are the back deck overlooking a stream, that and the peace and quiet. We had some friends over that live in area and had a great visit. I heard repeated high pitch "coughs" in the middle of the night, thought it might be a bobcat, I Googled bobcat sounds and that was it. Pretty cool. We will be back!!
