"Old farmhouse, so if ladybugs aren’t your thing and you expect a modern interior- skip it. But if you know Rumford, love history and look for the cute quirks in a house- this is your place. It has so much character and the most spacious place I’ve ever stayed. "

"We rented this space for our small wedding ceremony and then a larger reception afterwards. The outdoor space provided great options for the ceremony location and for the reception, inside and outside spaces were perfect! We hosted approx. 20 people for the ceremony and had about 120 for the reception and there was enough room. We hosted guests as young as 2 weeks and as old as 92. We didn't have guests in wheelchairs but we did have guests using walkers. That made for some challenges in the...

"First off Tom the property owner was wonderful. Very nice guy!! He gave us some tips on where to go in the area. The first day it rained to we travelled about 40 minutes to an antique mall. It had 5 floors and certainly worth the stop. Other days we travelled to Small Falls which was very beautiful. The Cabin is certainly in a pretty spot. There is Lake Porter just a 4-minute walk away. "Our stay at Thunder Ridge was incredible! The property was very spacious and easily accommodated our group of ten, providing plenty of room for everyone to relax and enjoy. "This was a fantastic vacation property!! We had the greatest week in such a beautiful setting. The view from the front porch and main living area was just beautiful. Loved laying in the master suite upstairs and seeing the water from bed. The property is private with a large amount of land on which to play and a lovely walk to the water access. "House has beautiful views , plenty of beds and everything you need from glasses to pots, pans, etc. all the little touches like digital lights, fans and fireplace make it a great property. At dusk a fifteen minute tide up 17 almost guarantees moose sightings. Kids had a blast in the game room. Master bedroom with couch , loveseat and tv is the perfect parent escape at night . "We really enjoyed the property. The interior was nicely updated. The fire pit on the shore was perfect. The ride to Sugarloaf was a little further than expected but the coziness of camp made up for it. Will definitely consider another stay at this property."

"This place was great for our group of 4 young ski families. There was enough space for everyone to hang out comfortably and the in-law unit above the garage offered a quieter space to escape for a bit. The drive to Sunday River was an easy 10min, and the 3 car garage allowed all of us to park (and recharge) our cars easily. The driveway was in great condition and had been plowed thoroughly, so no one had trouble getting in or out. Happy we stayed here and would definitely return in the future...

"Our stay was perfect for us and our wedding party! We enjoyed all of it but especially the heated floors in the up stairs bathroom haha no more cold feet after a shower!
