We were visiting to see the sites of DC. It’s a good, clean spot if you’ll be out and about all day. The furniture is uncomfortable, there’s a lot of hodge pod items (2 microwaves because one doesn’t work), we smelled marijuana early one of the mornings coming through the vent, and they need a new shower head, toilet paper holder, and to toss out the ottomans with beads coming out of them. The bed is comfortable, the pillows were not. Again, if you will be gone most of the day, it’s a cheaper option to stay.

Host was wonderfully responsive, pictures are accurate, didn't say on the listing but kitchen was stocked with pots and pans and cooking utensils which was nice. Unfortunately the snacks weren't stocked like the picture haha and there was only one butter knife but hey better than nothing. WiFi was fast and there are two smart TVs. A nice quiet stay.Unfortunately the comments about the weed smell are very true, it actually woke me up the first night at 2AM it was so strong coming in the vents. If you don't mind it though, that's one thing... personally I was not a fan but did get kinda used to it I guess...It does sleep at least four, the only thing is you'll be on either the fold-down couch or on one of the two air mattresses. They had many extra comforter sets and sheet sets available, which was nice for the air mattresses and couch. I do think the place as a whole was not as clean as I'd hoped-- some of the dishes in the cabinets still had water between them or weren't completely clean, there's a lottt of scuffs and marks on the walls, floor wasn't the cleanest, carpet is dirty, baseboards peeling up by the kitchen, etc. Not anything like bugs or spiderwebs, but just could be cleaner. Overall, this place is cheap for D.C. and not a far drive from the convention center, which is great. Street parking right outside which is clutch. Felt pretty safe, someone did get arrested at the end of the street our first night though lol but that's the city for ya

The room was very clean and the host was very responsive and easy to get a hold of. The parking is misleading. You can only park on the street and it’s a one-way short block. You might have to park up around the corner. The host was able to get us a pass to park in that area. We were a little worried about the neighborhood because it seemed a little sketchy at night, but it turned out to be OK. The parking was the biggest downfall. We had to leave a day and a half early due to family emergency.

My partner and I enjoyed our time here; the host was responsive and helpful. We were pleasantly surprised with the space. The pictures are a little outdated with furniture, so it made the experience even nicer seeing the place updated. The location was convenient for groceries, fun places to visit, and average travel to other places in the DMV. Overall, a good stay and location.

The property was beautiful, clean, well stocked to cook and do laundry. There were comfortable bed and sitting areas. The decorations were lovely. The location is excellent for visiting DC by bus. We experienced a persistent Marijuana odor that entered the bedroom and made that area very uncomfortable to use. Sometimes the odor was even stronger and more irritating than other times. When we arrived I informed our host that a previous guest may have been smoking in the unit because of the strong smoke odors. He said there was an air purifier in the room and he could bring another if needed. When we left the unit, we turned the air purifier up all the way. But when we were trying to sleep, we could only put it on at a lower level because of how loud the purifier is. At times we would wake up to a very strong, very, very irritating odor of Marijuana smoke entering the bedroom. It made us ill. This unit was listed as non-smoking. This is not an accurate representaion of the property and is a health and safety issue.

I had a wonderful stay! The host quickly responded to any questions I had, which made everything smooth and stress-free. The apartment was clean, cozy, and very easy to access with the door code. It had everything I needed for my stay, plus plenty of room and a convenient work desk station. Overall, a great experience—highly recommend!

The host was accommodating by letting us check-in early and gave quick responses. However, I would not recommend staying here. It was not as clean as I would like and it was little bit rougher. The biggest reasons that I wouldn’t recommend it is because you are in someone’s basement and you can hear every move they make, the area did not feel safe, and the whole place was filled with a strong weed smell during the evening and early morning.

I appreciated that apartment was clean and a great location for my stay! Great coffee shop, restaurants and pub within walking distance, with very easy access to public transportation. I enjoyed the comfort of the bed and pillows & the extra blankets available. I also very much appreciated that there was laundry soap provided for the washer. The sounds of a child and loud bangs coming from above were annoying at times, but did not spoil the stay. Hand soap and a trash can in the bathroom would be a great addition to this apartment. Thank you for a lovely stay!

I live about 2 hrs from DC, but came here to take my daughter to a concert for her 21st bday, so I wanted it to be special. We usually stay in hotels, but they were so crazy expensive, so I checked vrbo. I am so glad I did, because THIS APT IS SO NICE!! We didn't meet the owner in person, but communicated via chat and he is so nice! The apt is under his home, but has a completely separate entrance.The door has a bolt lock with a code that he sends you the day before you get there. It was a rainy/chilly wknd, but we had no issues getting ubers or food delivery. (If you've ever stayed near Cap One Arena, you know this can be a major pain!) It has a full kitchen, but we were only there a day so only used the microwave and fridge, but it's stocked with plates and glasses and silverware and pots to cook with.I thought the bedroom didn't have a tv from pics, but it does. The bedroom was my favorite part. It has overhead lights and a pretty lamp and a window and free wifi on the tv. When we got back from the show, we ordered food and went to bed, and the bedroom was a lovely ending to the night. There's a big, soft bed with lots of pillow and blanket choices, and and air purifier in the room. I slept so well! The headboard has plugs for your phone too, which I appreciated a lot! I was nervous to book my first vrbo, but it was EXCELLENT. Saving this property because we come to DC for weekends quite a bit, and I loved it. I'd absolutely stay here again.
