"Had a wonderful 10 night stay at Shantara. We loved being so close to Macrossan st and the beach, while the pool was an amazing end to each day. The Hotel was peaceful, beautiful and quiet. As is normal for Far North Queensland, there is not everyday cleaning service but we don’t use that anywhere anyway. Plenty of parking, but if you didn’t bring a car everything is walking distance with shuttle bus options for longer journeys. The only black mark of the stay were our neighbours on the pool...

"Leider sehr enttäuschender Aufenthalt und definitiv kein 5-Sterne-Niveau.
Positiv hervorzuheben ist eine Dame an der Rezeption, die wirklich großartig war, sowie das Frühstück.
Der Rest des Aufenthalts war allerdings eine große Enttäuschung: Beide Zimmer waren sichtbar schlecht gereinigt, mit dreckigen Böden, unhygienischen Badezimmern, Ameisen, fleckigen Handtüchern und allgemein stark abgewohnter Einrichtung. Im ersten Zimmer fanden wir sogar eine Spinne samt Spinnennetz direkt am Bettkissen...

"Room was clean, quiet and good for a few days stay. Good things: washer, iron & ironing board, good sized fridge, dishes, a/c, separate bedroom. Bad: no elevator - had to carry our luggage up 3 flights, never saw desk staff, couldn't figure out how to get the dryer to start, no shampoo, small bars of soap, longer walk to places than we thought, TV had limited channels."

"The second time we've stayed at Drift in Palm Cove and we would stay again. The property has everything you need and is in the perfect location. The only thing that would help would be a heated pool, however you don't really need it if you go in the Summer."
