"Wonderful experience here! The property was very clean and all of the amenities worked and were described well. The water was perfectly clear in the lake and the area around the dock was complete clean of weeds. When we visited we got lucky in Aug and it was colder so there were no bugs around to bother us like some of the reviews are saying "

"If I could give more stars I would! This is a total experience. The hosts are so friendly and helpful. They are so happy to share their piece of paradise with others. If you want to get away from it all, this is the place. Birders, this is located in the bog with great birds waiting right outside your door! Walk down to the bridge and watch herons and beavers near the Whiteface River."

"Went on guys' golf trip. 4 of us. This place was great. The location is right between 2 golf courses. Beautiful villa. Great to have complimentary pancakes, coffee, etc... Can't say enough good things about Walden Haus."

"The yurt was great. Very clean, super cozy and cute with all the amenities of home, including lots of added touches -- welcome basket, smores kit and fire kit ready to go, and a cart to haul our belongings. The property was well marked and easy to find. Would definitely go back again "

"My husband and I had the most amazing week here! Went fishing every day. Caught loads of fish around the lake. Even caught several off the dock, including a keeper walleye, perch, bass and northern! Sat and watched the northern lights from the dock one night. Grilled some steaks, went kayaking, saw lots of eagles and loons. Had a few campfires and enjoyed a cozy night by the fireplace. Jeff was great at accomodating anything we needed. He was quick to respond to emails. He was very respectful...

"The Quiet Cottage, also known as Stolhammer Hus, is the perfect base to explore the Mesabi Bike Trail and the Range. The house is very clean, well equipped, and very comfortable. Great screened in porch, as well as a deck that has you sitting in the woods. The host is great, very accessible and helpful with local recommendations. I would highly recommend the Quiet Cottage in the Woods!"

"It was a great stay with an amazing view and fun games! I think my only complaint is the bunk beds are in an actual closet and the trash can in the kitchen is very small. Other than that everything was great! And the hosts were spectacular about getting back to me! Would DEFINITELY stay here again"

"Fabulous stay! They had great beds and endless blankets! Great dock for fishing our having a pontoon/boat rental. Sauna was awesome!Main level had a full bathroom and queen size bed bedroom. Upstairs had a king with 2 kids beds and a cot bed, again with plenty of blankets and sheets!It was so peaceful couldn’t really see the neighbors and it was just amazing to see how dark the sky can get into seeing all the stars.Perfect stay for a family! "Very quite peaceful cabin! It was perfect for the two of us, and our two dogs. Beautiful views from the dock and fire pit. Kitchen was well stocked! We have already booked our next trip to Ely next September "

The check in process was a little rough but no fault to Tanner or Silka as we just never recieved the email from vrbo.Great cabin, great location especially if you're there for the atv trails like us!Tanner and his wife Silka were great host and very hospitable! Definitely recommend!"
