The location of the house was excellent, and communication with the host was also great. We stayed for five days and, while we appreciated some aspects, a few issues made the stay less enjoyable than we had hoped.
One major disappointment was the “barbecue” setup. We were really looking forward to having proper barbecues, but what was advertised as a grill turned out to be just an electric hot plate placed outside. This wasn’t what we expected at all, and it really took away from our experience.
Since we couldn’t grill outside, we had to cook indoors. Unfortunately, the kitchen’s ventilation system didn’t extract the smoke—it actually blew it back into the house. This filled the entire space with smoke.
The couch was quite old and uncomfortable, not ideal for relaxing after a day out. The TV wasn’t a smart TV, and since it rained for two of the days we were there, we found ourselves with very limited indoor entertainment. The internet connection was also extremely poor—we couldn’t even use Instagram.
We ran out of hot water on the first day, but to the host’s credit, the issue was resolved by the night thanks to their responsive communication.
