WHAT A DUMP!!!
My husband and I are from Canada and we had planned on having an extended vacation in Australia but our plans were sidelined when he had a heart attack a couple of weeks prior to our reservation. The host refused to refund us anything. Fair enough, "no refunds" was listed within the property description. Considering we had paid top dollar to rent the property I assumed that my daughter and her new husband, or her in-laws, could get some use out of it. They all refused to stay there due to how filthy and in disrepair the property was. The place stank, the windows were dirty and dead bug encrusted, the furniture was falling apart, there were water stains on the ceiling, the floors were so dirty everyone's feet were blackened within a few steps, all of the cabinetry in the kitchen was chipped and stained, all of the caulking in the kitchen and bathrooms was stained and thick with some sort of crud, the oven was encrusted with filth, all of the interior doors were dirty/stained and chipped, and the fire extinguisher and smoke detector (only one!) were both date expired. I could go on, but I'm sure anyone reading this gets the picture. Also, in my opinion, there is no way that this is a legal short term rental. NSW has stringent regulations in place for STRA and this place DOES NOT meet code. This host is charging top dollar for a slum, and we have the pictures to prove it. Shame on you!
