Hideaway Tom's on the Mundoo Channel

Absolute waterfront, freshly renovated, modern, and stylish 2 bedroom house on Mundoo Channel, Hindmarsh Island. Located within the waters of the Coorong National Park with a private jetty and fully enclosed yard.
A tranquil, peaceful setting with abundant birdlife to watch from a fabulous, protected outdoor kitchen patio area. Outdoor firepit for the cooler months (BYO firewood).
Plenty of parking for boats and trailers, this family-friendly property is close to a boat ramp if you wish to bring your own boat to explore the Murray Mouth and Coorong National Park.
Bream, Mulloway, and Coorong Mullet may be caught from the private jetty.
10 minutes drive to the quaint township of Goolwa. Visit the nearby Murray Mouth lookout, Coorong Cafe, and Hoad's fishery (in season).
Pets are allowed outside.

The house was fantastic, clean, well catered and a beautiful view.The private jetty was great for the blokes to fish from.The host was straight on any message I sent, communication was exceptional.The area was peaceful and relaxing. It was great to just do nothing in a beautiful home. The pictures of Storm Boy, took me back to my youth, they were awesome, I loved them. Kicked back playing cards, watching television/DVD's and fishing.I would love to find the time to return at some point.

Fantastic location with so much to see and do in the area. Having the Coorong on your doorstep makes this a comfortable and cosy place to stay. Monique is an excellent communicator and her attention to detail is second to none. If you love fishing, photography and relaxing then Hideaway Tom’s is perfect.

What a beautiful place to have a break from the hustle and bustle of city life. Everything you need and more has been thought of by the hosts. Pelicans are right at the back of the house and you have your own jetty. There's a safe enclosed area around the house for your fur baby to run around. Was just what we needed for a few days and would highly recommend it.

Amazing place to stay! Quiet, peaceful and with the water right in the back garden with your own jetty. It's the perfect place to view the sunrise and sunset. Beautifully decked out with everything you need for cooking both indoors and out, sparkling clean, comfortable and cozy. Awesome selection of books to read and a lovely back story of the filming of the latest Storm Boy movie on the jetty. Maps of the local area deck the walls, everything has been thoughtfully supplied. We thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience and will be back!

Perfect Relaxing Getaway

This is my second visit to Hideaway Tom's and it won't be my last. The place is perfect in both summer and winter as you feel so close to nature. Plenty of wildlife to view and wonderful views out across Mundoo Channel. The sunrises are spectacular and I loved the way the house is bathed in the warming early morning light each day. Tom's is well equipped and very comfortable. The outdoor cooking area is a bonus as is the wonderful outdoor setting where I spent most of my time.There is plenty to do in the area and Hideaway Tom's is only a short walk from the Murray Mouth at the end of Mundoo Channel Drive.Monique is a fantastic host, friendly and quick to communicate.Great fishing off the private jetty also.

A wonderful stay

We really enjoyed our three days in Hideaway Tom's. The property was extremely clean, the kitchen fully equipped, the bed very comfortable. Best of all, the little jetty and stunning view over Mundoo Channel. Fishing wasn't successful but enjoyable nevertheless!

A Hidden Gem

We had a wonderful stay in this hidden gem on Hindmarsh Island. The home was well equipped and spotlessly clean with everything you could need for a relaxing stay. The view from the house is straight out onto the Coorong. This was especially beautiful at sunrise with the spectacular colours on the water, be sure to get up early to see this. As there is very little artificial light you can see the stars brilliant above the home. Thank you Monique for a lovely and relaxed stay.

Relaxing break

Highly Recommend

A great place to stay - gorgeous views, fishing at the end of the garden, peace and quiet (except for the wonderful birdsong),a great place to rest and read or get out and about - so close to the Murray Mouth.. The house was very clean, comfortable and thoughtfully set up. It was also lovely to be able to bring our little dog with us. Monique was a great host, answered emails quickly and thoroughly.

Perfect!
