"Wunderbare Unterkunft mit netter Gastgeberin in einer ganz tollen Lage. Bereits zu Beginn erwartete uns eine Erfrischung mit zwei Gläsern Wein. Die Zimmer sind modern und geräumig gestaltet. Die Betten sind bequem. Die Klimaanlage war relativ laut, aber die schöne grüne Lage bringt auch etliches an fliegenden Getier mit sich, sodass ein Fenster-Öffnen eher schwierig ist. "A warm welcome from Luc & Hilda, we were given a large, nicely decorated modern room with very comfy bed and the shower room & toilet were to the same high standard. Very nice breakfast served by Luc and his friendly team, it was autumn when we visited so it can be cool at night in South Africa, the bed’s electric blankets made them warm and cosy, the open log fire in the breakfast room was very nice in the morning and the log burner in the lounge was equally as inviting in the evening. "We’ve stayed 3 or 4 times at Excelsior, and, as last visit, had a wonderful time. The setting is amazing, Kirstin who runs it is lovely, very efficient and an amazing cook! James who is maitre d’, is also very personable and helpful. Both of them make sure your stay is top class. There’s a golf buggy you can use to look round the vineyard. The wine is very good indeed, and guests get to drink it free, whether lounging round the beautiful pool or enjoying one of Kirstin’s wonderful...

"We had a fabulous stay at the farms cottage and were welcomed with complementary sourdough bread and yummy spreads. It is very nicely decorated, spacious and comes with a hot tub that is lovely at night time - I never saw so many stars before. We had their on-site dinner the first night: my 3 year old daughter nearly finished the entire piece of lasagne as it was so yummy. "Both Wendy and her colleague were very friendly and welcoming, which made for a delightful calm overnight stay. So glad there was a small swimming pool to cool off in. All facilities very clean etc "

"Receptipn staff were friendly an the room was as described. We enjoyed the balcony. Dinner was excellent and the night's rest was comfortable and cozy. Breakfast the following morning was a pleasant surprise. Very well presented and very enjoyable - the perfect way to start the day. "

"Very nice one night stay while travelling. Stayed in the garden room - very quiet and also has self-catering facilities. Short walk to several restaurants. We opted for a pizza nearby. Expedia shows breakfast included. This is an error - owner trying to resolve with agency. But breakfast is available at a small cost. Just ask Mike to show you his collection - stunning!"

"A acomodação na verdade é um chalé/cá individual. Apesar de ser bem simples e não ter muito conforto, o local é muito tranquilo. Achamos que a limpeza poderia estar um pouco mais bem feita, mas a recepção foi excepcional. O staff sempre muito gentil e a acomodação tinha tudo o que precisávamos. "

"The house was a first class accommodation Would go back there tomorrow without a doubt Not much in the area to do but had a first class meal in town. The house was very clean and beds were very comfortable. Had a wonderful time at the donkey sanctuary which is a must see. Went to local winery (McGregor) and spent some monies there. Well worth the trip"

Large attractive gardens, nice touches like the extra padded seats for our outside seats and fresh fruit from the farm at breakfast. The owner was very helpful with ideas for local visits and was very warm and welcoming. Thank you. "

"Amazingly peaceful stay at this beautiful grand old house filled with gorgeous and well mantained antiques. The breakfast was incredible, and we really appreciated the fresh baked gluten free bread! The service was all we could wish for and we enjoyed swimming in the pool outside under the stars. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a break from the city hustle and bustle."

"The property itself is so elegant and stylish with unimpeded views across to the mountains. The deck, pool and gardens are peaceful and full of beautiful sculptures. Our room, Room 4 was spacious, light and airy with a secluded private deck. A gorgeous place to stay within an easy walk to town with all its historic homes. But best of all were the delightful hosts, such warmth and so friendly and genuinely wanting to help in anyway and ensure you have the most comfortable stay. Great breakfast."
