"Great place, and excellent hosts! WIFI is a bit slow due to the router in the closet but otherwise excellent cabin!"

"We enjoyed our stay. But it was a tight fit (not sure there are enough beds) for 18 people. Cabin was clean and cozy. Loved having the two kitchens. One downfall, a board and skis were stolen from the outside area of the cabin when we were there. We didn’t expect that from such a desolate area, and not busy due to minimal snow. Lock up your stuff if you stay here!"

"Great location centrally located between the lodge and main lift. A convenient and cozy retreat for a great ski weekend. Appreciated the extra touches like ample wood for the fireplace and a Keurig!"

"Beautiful cabin on a beautiful lake. Very peaceful, we had the luxury of having some Loons patrol the lake as well as two pairs of Swans. The fishing was fantastic for children. Mellen and the surrounding area are very beautiful. We went to Dusty’s Saloon when thirsty, had supper at Elkhorn Lodge in Clam Lake. Visited Corrigans lookout in Upson, hiked Cooper Falls but spent most of our time on the lake at the cabin. Highly recommend to anyone wanting to visit the north woods."

"Very clean, with everything you need provided. Sauna was great, and the beds were very comfortable. Looking forward to staying here again."

"GPS directed us to the property. Convenient parking. Cabin is old, as described. Everything clean and in working condition. Way more space than we needed. We had the windows open for lake breezes during the day and kicked on the heat to take the chill out of the cabin in the morning. Kitchen was stocked for preparing meals. Groundskeepers are friendly and attentive. Waking to loon calls beats city noises! We will check here for availability in the future. "

"This was the second time we stayed, the first being in 2019. Both times the kitchen was well stocked with anything you would ever need. The entire house was neat, clean, and organized. A wonderful place to stay with family or friends and visit the surrounding area and all it has to offer. With so much to see and do in the area it’s easy to be on the go, but plan to stay an extra day or two to just enjoy the beauty and tranquility of the estate. "

"Nicely equipped kitchen, plenty of towels. Great Lake views Very difficult to negotiate lower path to lake and launch the kayaks. Very steep and rough. House is on a steep hill. Steps near the top are fine. Great fire pit with view in front of house."
