"This property was a 10 out of 10. The mountaintop view was amazing. We enjoyed the fire pit and the hot tub. The inside of the house was so beautiful and nicely decorated and one of the cleanest we have stayed in. I appreciated the book with all the instructions on the tv remotes and the hot tub. It also listed places to eat in the area along with menus. It was such a relaxing place and we can’t wait to visit again!"

"We absolutely loved our stay at Fernweh! The quiet, seclusion and peacefulness was just what we needed. Loved the hot tub while drinking my morning coffee and listening to the relaxing sounds of the river. The cabin has so much character and we also loved the beautiful sites, waterfalls and restaurants the area has to offer. Thank you!"

"Cabin was better than the listing proclaimed. Kitchen was stocked with nice cookware and anything one might need, clean and comfortable but the best part was the secluded location, very peaceful and the view was beautiful! Saving this one for a repeat!"

"We had a great time at the bass cabin! It was perfect for us. It's very private and has a beautiful view from the front porch. The off leash laws in the area are apparent as we received 3 visitors (dogs) during our stay, which we didn't mind. "

"The property is ideally situated near the water fall - it is literally in the back yard to view. To hike to get a better look , you are short walk away from it and the scenic trails—once we parked, we didn’t feel the need to leave. It’s incredibly peaceful and serene, making it the perfect escape for a quiet weekend getaway. You can shop for groceries at the little downtown store or go to Fort Payne-if you need more variety. "The cottage is decorated well. We had everything we needed for the weekend. The view is amazing, especially at sunset. We had a very relaxing weekend get away. "

"Really great view. Dock off back porch to the lake. Host was very informative before during and after stay. Cabin was cozy. Thank you Danny. There is no closet or drawers for clothes, but since it was just the 2 of us we used the extra bed to lay out our clothes. Everything was clean. Had the plenty of kitchen supplies. Fishing was less than desired. "

"this is out 5th time booking this place and besides the always reasonable price, the remodeled cabin is the highlight. The isolation of the rental is idea for privacy .the communication with the rental owners really make things very easy , they are not robots , they genuinely care about you being comfortable. You can even speak to them before booking if you have questions. This time , we spent a lot of time around the fire pit outback , and it was extremely nice"

"Great weekend getaway! Quiet, quaint, wooded, and full of wildlife. My wife and I had a great stay! If you want more than simple, don't go. If you love simple and going back in time, go! We give it five stars for what it is! If you love deer, deers, and more deers, plus squirrels, etc, you might enjoy this spot. If you smoke, like we do, you will enjoy this place, as outside ashtrays are on both front and back porch. "
