"We really enjoyed our stay at the Elk Creek Escape. The pictures were very accurate to the current cabin. The hosts were responsive before our stay and when we were on our way. They were friendly and helped us to check in and find a place to eat. The McCarty Mercantile they suggested for breakfast had the BEST biscuits! Thank you for having us!"

"Everything was perfect! Very helpful and great recommendations about the area. We drove 7 hours for this trip and the hot tub was so wonderful. Kitchen and bathrooms very clean and bed was so comfortable. Thank you for hosting us. We appreciate you!"

"Our entire family grew up in Elmira but over time all have moved to different areas of country. Sadly, the eldest sibling past away last year so a Celebration of Life in our home town was in order. This home was the perfect spot to meet up with old Elmira friends and anchor all the activities from. Beautiful home, resorted & furnished to the historical time of Elmira’s economic peak. I bet Mark Twain spent time there back in the day. Includes all the modern amenities & plenty of room to spread...

"We had such a great time at this property. My daughter thoroughly enjoyed being able to "disappear" to her own private island in the backyard. The house had everything we needed and then some. The queen bed upstairs is definitely for those that enjoy a firmer mattress, but besides that, everything was AMAZING. Oh, and there's a guy just up the street selling firewood (with the large wooden teepee) who's super friendly and has an adorable pup. We will definitely book another stay next time...

"The place was comfortable and inviting with plenty of room to move around and gather together. We stayed on a rather unusually cold week and the gas heating system had a bit of a learning curve but once we got things working it went well. Enjoyed the extra parking spaces on the side street. Glad to have had the full kitchen and large dining table to gather around. Will stay again!"
