"I'm giving it a 5 star overall rating because c'mon, it's a motel 6 in the middle of nowhere, anyone expecting anything more than what it is must be crazy. Yea there are some weirdos walking around at night, but oddly enough, I felt safe with the cameras that are literally in every single passageway. "I've never stayed in this hotel. The area seems safe. If you are traveling as a single female. There are a few places to eat very close by within walking distance. The breakfast is severely lacking. There's no oatmeal and no bagels. The coffee they offer is lackluster at best. I found hair in my shower but the rest of the room appeared clean. "This is not the best hotel I've stayed, but it IS the best in this price range. Super nice reception, and the room was spartan but very clean and correct. I stayed here as a pause in the middle of a long trip, and slept great. Also, there's a remarkable, higher-end restaurant nearby, Vault & Cellar, which was a welcome break from the drive. I'll stay here every time I make this trip. "

"The property was breathtakingly beautiful. We were greeted by smiling staff with a glass of champagne to be shown around the main house. Our room was just steps from the lobby and dining areas which was convenient, however, we did have to keep the blinds drawn most of the time as all our windows (including the bathroom) faced the front parking lot. "This is a convenient place to stop off if you've been visiting the Blue Ridge Mountains and Shenandoah National Park. It's out of town slightly, so you would have to drive if you were looking for somewhere else to eat.
