"Properly was very comfortable exceptionally clean staff were very helpful. Felt at home there spent 3 nights and would highly recommend this property.. heating was good beds had electric blankets.We had 3 rooms and all were perfect."

"Great spot just out of New Plymouth, lots of space with all the facilities you need, we did take our own BBQ for outdoor cooking, we made use of an old pizza oven outside which worked a treat for our crowd cooking up there own creations, close to a great swimming hole at the nearby river."

"Excellent everything. 50 minute drive to New Plymouth each day so early start and late return. Great to return home each night to a lovely home. Had everything we needed to relax after a hard day at "the office" - Matatini. "

"This place was amazing. We loved the view of the volcano and the cleanliness of the accommodations. The host was spectacular. We needed to wash some of our clothes and the host offered to wash them for us. I would definitely recommend this place and wished we could’ve stayed longer. "

"The Butchers shop was a great place to stay to see and do lots on the Forgotten Highway. Close to the famous pub, it was clean cosy and very comfortable. Great place to stay!"

"I don’t think I could have found a nicer place to stay. I was looking for an ‘ away from city’ stay and this ticked all the boxes. Owners are warm and welcoming and incredibly helpful. They live upstairs but interact only if and when you want them to. Nothing is too much trouble. I fed the deer, sheep chickens and quails so if you are an animal person, this is utopia. "The interior of the tiny house is lovely, however the pictures on the listing cleverly avoid showing the surrounding area. There are no trees or fences to provide privacy from the main house, the contiguous cabin or the hiking track that runs through the property. The .main house is barely 10mts away, we could here music coming from it at night. The other cabin is a mere 2mts away and the walking track barely 3mts from the cabin. We had to close the black out rolling curtains once we realized...
