"Parking is good we didn’t have a drink in the bar. We have stayed here many times over the years but it has gone downhill. Poor maintenance in the bathroom… no hot water for a shower or a wash! Went to breakfast and was told we had to be finished within half an hour… people on the next table… the waitress actually asked them to leave!! "We stayed in the Linwood Suite for 1 night. The room was spacious, luxurious and comfortable. The breakfast was of a high quality. The room is immediately above the function area and noise travels easily (there was a wedding reception) - we weren't warned about this previously but it was not a problem as we went out to dinner and the noise quietened down before midnight. Unfortunately the experience was ruined by loud noise in the room. It was a mechanical noise which sounded like a generator...

"We stayed for a week over Christmas. The room was clean, comfy and fairly modern. The staff were amazing; helpful and respectful every time we spoke to them. The breakfast was good; selection of cereals, yogurts, fruit and pastries for a light breakfast. Sausage, bacon, scrambled egg and beans if you wanted something hot. Overall, excellent value for money!"

"Helpful and flexible with uncertainty over bookings, and the accommodation was at least satisfactory in general... but there was drastically inadequate parking for a full hostel, and we were not given all the necessary info about how to gain access to the buildings ! ( a helpful resident who happened to be up late saved us from standing outside in the cold and dark. Make sure the person on the desk not only gives over the FULL keypad entry number...but also HOW to access the key pad in order...

"The room was lovely and clean and comfortable, we arrived and got a parking spot next to the hotel. Communication is excellent. Lighting on arrival so we could put the code into the building was fantastic. We were in the first room. It was modern with a lovely big bed, with a walk-in shower which is ideal for me as I struggle with mobility. "It was snowing when we arrived. The room was very cold because of no heating. I returned to reception, complained and the heating was connected, After a few hours the room heated up. At 2 am I woke up. The room was very cold and without heating. I called reception for more that 30 minutes but no one answered. In the morning I complained. The hotel answered that there was nothing that could be done. No shampoo in the room. I will not return. Not recommendable."

"The Hotel for the price you pay was ok. The bed was clean, however no mattress protection was laid down. The bathroom was also clean. The rest of the room as not as clean as i would have hoped and looked tired. The location however is excellent! Parking was suffient and only a 3min walk in the famous all creatures great and small area. "

"We had a wonderful stay at this cottage. The location is perfect, sitting right on the local canal in a very picturesque village. The local church bells add such a lovely, traditional touch to the stay. We also spent some time at The White Lion pub, which we’d definitely recommend to other travelers. A very peaceful and authentic experience."
