Great location and friendly staff, but rooms need improvement
I recently stayed here with my toddler and there were definitely some good points, but also areas that need attention.
Pros:
Free, secure parking was a big plus and made check-in much easier.
The location is excellent — close to restaurants, kids’ playgrounds, the water park, ice-creamery and lovely waterfront spots for an evening stroll.
Staff were very friendly and professional throughout our stay, which I genuinely appreciated.
Cons:
The room had a noticeable damp smell, most likely coming from the carpet.
Carpets, cupboards, the couch and dining chairs were all quite run-down and in need of refurbishment.
The bathroom cupboard was loose, and there were hairs on the couch and carpet on arrival, which was disappointing.
There was an overpowering smell of cleaning products at check-in.
Our key fob malfunctioned a few times, possibly due to a low battery.
The room was very far from the elevator, which made it more difficult when travelling with a toddler.
Overall, while the location and staff were great, the room condition and cleanliness definitely need improvement for a more comfortable and pleasant stay.
