"A great choice in Vang Vieng. The shipping container rooms are novel, comfortable, clean and cool. (I think Mr Kong is a bit of a genius.) Good AC, comfortable beds, nice showers, OK breakfast (but you'll need to grab a decent coffee nearby at Kiwi, or a 10 minute walk to wonderful Naked). The location is great. Across the river from the noisier main drag but there's a walking bridge next to the hotel. It's quiet at night. There are 3 very good restaurants nearby- the pizza place, Kiwi...

"Domon hotel is an older hotel, & could do with some tlc, but because of the warm welcoming & helpful young man on front desk this was easy to overlook. He was eager to please & on arrival asked us if we wanted a larger room as hotel was going through a quiet time. He also greeted us every day & asked if we needed anything. He booked transfer to train station on departure, (60,000 kip) which was cheaper than Loca (72,000 kip). Hotel has 3 floors, there are no lifts. No breakfast option, but many...
