The luxury accomodation at The Otway Haven is peaceful, quiet and private, set in gorgeous gardens, and surrounded by rainforest and farm paddocks. Guests are delighted with the serenity, tranquility, the fresh air and the birdlife and wildlife.

Boutique in design yet rich in detail and amenity, the light-filled interior is introduced by a secure entrance into a lovely living and dining area nestled beneath a vaulted ceiling. Warm up by the sleek wood-heater, the heart of this thoughtfully crafted cottage, ideal for chilly nights.

Both bedrooms have luxury queen beds with electric blankets, four pillows, doonas, quilts and spare blankets, and copious storage and clothes hanging space. One bedroom has a smart TV with satellite access to hundreds of television and radio channels, and free access to streaming services such as Netflix, Apple TV and Prime Video. There's also a porta cot and a child's secure dining chair.

The living area has seating for two and dining for two and hence the place is best suited for a couple, or a couple with younger children; a warming log fireplace with free unlimited firewood and firestarters provided. There are board games, a small library, binoculars for birdwatching and an umbrella.

The bathroom has a shower and hip bath, along with waffle shawl robes, Egyptian cotton bath towels, soaps and shampoos, and a hair dryer.

The kitchen comes with complimentary provisions such as cereals, oats, fresh milk and jams, teas, Nespresso coffee pods, oils, mustards and so on.

Just bring your own food, and we’ll provide the rest:

Juicer
Pressure cooker
Kettle, toaster, Nespresso coffee machine and milk frother
Plentiful crockery, cutlery, glassware, pots, pans, and so on.

Do wander our extensive gardens, and bask on the deck in summer’s warmth or snuggle by the fire as winter clouds drift over the valley.

There's also undercover carparking and bicycle storage available if you wish, an outdoor Weber BBQ with full LPG tank and all BBQ accessories, a petanque set, and a variety of bicycles to borrow for both adults and children.

The Otway Haven is:

One minute to the Great Otways National Park.
15 minutes to Skenes Creek, the Great Ocean Road and local beaches.
15 minutes to waterfalls and walking and hiking paths.
20 minutes to Apollo Bay and Forrest.
60 minutes to Lorne.
80 minutes to the Twelve Apostles.

Please note that while we are super pet-friendly, we do need you to discuss with us any pets you plan to bring before you book as we have sheep and alpacas in neighbouring paddocks. If you bring a pet, even if your booking states you are, but have not discussed it with us before booking, we may not be able to let your pet stay. Pets are welcome to be off leash if you wish, and we provide a guide to dog-friendly activities in the region.

What a beautiful location!

The location is absolutely beautiful! The communication was excellent and the directions helped us easily navigate to the property where we were greeted by a wonderful cozy fire already laid for us. We had a wonderful stay and appreciated all the nice touches. Highly recommend!!

Magical retreat in the Otways

The cottage was so cosy and comfortable and in the most beautiful surroundings. The bed's were heavenly with beautiful linen. Imacuatly clean. Maddie is such a friendly, generous host. The breakfast provisions were very generous. We would definitely recommend this property.

Lovely stay

We had the opportunity to stay Otway Haven during the Great Ocean Road marathon weekend and were all impressed with the home and serene setting. The beds were extremely comfortable and we would highly recommend!

Nice cabin in nature

We stayed there 1 night in our Great Ocean Road trip. The cabin is clean and comfortable. We love everything in the cabin especially the fireplace. The cabin is 15-20 minutes drive from Apollo Bay. We hesitated before we booked the stay but we are very happy of our stay and glad that we booked it. We can see Milky Way at night and a koala on a gum tree nearby in the morning.

Tranquil

This property is an excellent place to stay. Tranquil, peaceful, and private. It was exactly as described. The owner accommodated our little dog and made the process very welcoming. We loved our stay and would come back again. Highly recommended.

A beautifully appointed retreat

The owners have gone to great trouble to stylishly furnish the unit. It was a good location to start exploring the Otways We would just suggest 2 more dining chairs if accommodating 4 people (otherwise its really comfortable),and to replace the cutlery ( hard to butter toast with steak knives )and the dinner plates (huge!!) But its just a just a small thing compared to the lovely furnishings and surrounds More than happy to return again!

Peaceful stay.

A lovely getaway, bonus you can bring your dog too. Beautiful views, cozy, perfect location. A wonderful place to read a book and explore the Otways and Great Ocean Road.

Too overpriced. Small and space is not functional. Hard to walk in toilet & hard to open front door

The place was very small and not that functional. Lounge room was very small with no TV for chillout / relax area. The toilet was also very small, we could barely walk in without hitting our shins on the toilet bowl. It was very confusing on how to enter the property as there were sections that were closed off on the driveway. The property appears very old and not properly maintained, including all the utilities and utensils. The table tennis area looked very dangerous to enter, lots of rubbish surrounding the area and dust and dirt everywhere. I think the price was way too expensive for what it is and would not recommend it to anyone else.

Beautiful spot

Gorgeous property set in serene nature, lots of walks to waterfalls and other beautiful spots nearby and also a short drive to Apollo Bay and Great Ocean Road beaches. Perfect getaway from the city.

Lovely quiet rainforest location

A very quiet and private space, Laurence was completely unobtrusive but also immediately responsive. Cosy with the heaters on, well equipped. Beautiful location in among the rainforest but close to the beach.

We very much enjoyed our short stay at your stunning property. The location was incredible with stunning scenery and the cabin itself was extremely well appointed and very comfortable. This is not an area we have been to before but would definitely return to your lovely location in the future.

A lovely secluded stay with plenty of nature

We really enjoyed this property's surroundings as well as the interior. It's surrounded by trees and a paddock next door. The property had everything we needed plus nice big windows to see the surroundings and plenty of added touches like a wood fire, coffee & cereal, milk + eggs in the fridge etc. Would definitely recommend this to a friend.
