"What a unique relaxing stay enjoying birding, kayaking, stargazing, sunsets off the bridge and watching the kids capture crabs galore. We loved the quirky cottage with its amazing large wrap around window views. Donna and Mike are caring hosts, offering plenty of tips on the area when asked. The island is conveniently located close to Yorktown and not far from Jamestown and Colonial Williamsburg. The kids also enjoyed both Yorktown and Jamestown beaches during the stay. "

"Bay Cottage was charming, comfortable and the location was just perfect. We could walk to the beach in less than a minute. It is well stocked and beds were very comfortable. We loved the layout and the boys loved all the games. We especially enjoyed the big screened in porch in the evening and the outdoor shower in the back for getting all the sand off. Our hosts were wonderful and communicated with us from the time we booked and even called once we got settled to make sure we had everything we...

"We loved the cottage! The bay was so close that even when you were inside you felt like you were on the beach. The sunsets were AMAZING. The neighbors were very quiet, the beach was private and the cottage was clean- leading to a nice, relaxing trip full of kayaking, fishing, reading on the beach and floating on the bay. Mathews area is our favorite spot due to the close proximity to groceries, restaurants and day trips. "

"This property is an absolute delight and exactly as advertised. But wait, there's more. The house comes with fresh cut flowers, fine chocolates, popcorn and coffee. The views are amazing! The beds are comfortable and the kitchen is well stocked. The screened porch is a delight and there is almost always a breeze. One of the unexpected joys of the stay was watching Shannon, the owner, walk her 3 geese to the river each day for a quick swim. So cute! The house is only 15 minutes from town but...
