"We stayed this past week with our two dogs, and it was a wonderful family vacation. We stayed in the Blacksmith Cottage, which was fully-furnished with everything we needed. The kitchen was clean and well-stocked with pots and pans, and the oven and fridge were great to have. The bathroom was clean and comfortable. "The property manager contacted us as expected and check in was easy. Inside and outside, the home was nothing as advertised. Nails sticking out of the walls, dishwasher not attached so it falls out when you pull out the rack; old cars, broken chairs, lawnmowers, old pool, old jacuzzi, a winebego, a boat and toilet seat all strewn around the yard. "This place provided the peace and refreshment that we needed. Fishing fun on the dock (biggest fish caught was almost 8 pounds!), a great place to kayak, and endless indoor entertainment for the rainy days (pool, air hockey, video games, giant Jenga). Despite the rain, we had a great time. The sunsets were amazing! James Divine answered all my questions and was a delightful host."

"This was a perfect place for our purposes. Lenny and Vicki were very attentive. They came out to speak with us. Explained everything about our stay. The place was close to a lot of things. Food was great in the area."

"The house is older. There are several weird step ups in the house and none of us left without having stubbed our toes multiple times. The house was clean but could definitely use a deep clean sometime. It would not be ideal for the elderly and is not handicap accessible at all. "Just the perfect retreat! The house was delightful, comfortable and well appointed. We loved how secluded the property was and having a private beach to explore was fantastic. Our dogs loved the woods and playing on the river!The owner was so nice, easy to communicate with and gave excellent tips to make our stay even more memorable.
