I stayed in family room on 8th floor. The room cleanliness was a bit questionable. The floor was uneven and carpet has seen better days (bit sticky too!). Water tank was under maintenance so water could be in off color (green).
Asked for laundry bag and inside had whitish residue that I just immediately didn’t dare to use it.
Shower mat wasn’t replaced with a new one despite it was wet and just flipped over. Sink was leaking. Trash can was rusted and dinged badly.
It’s supposed to be a 4-star hotel but maintenance and cleanliness made me doubtful that it could still be considered a 4-star. A 2.5 is more likely.
Oh breakfast too… fried rice was literally rice being fried on a pan without eggs or even meat. They will only add sliced chilis to make it “spicy”.
Honestly, this was my first experience staying in a Novotel chain and it made me want to avoid the chain for good.
