Open water views from this 2 bedroom, 2 bath stand alone home, 35 foot seawall for docking your boat. Contemporary design with smart TV's and internet in all rooms. Dining indoors and on the porch. Covered porch with lots of sunny spaces. Completely furnished with everything you need to have the best vacation ever. Propane webber grill. Easy dockage, concrete seawall. Marina with boat ramp and security, convenience store. Venture Out charges a fee of $125.00, due at check in for use of the amenities. Parking for one car, one golf cart and one motorcycle, additional vehicles will park in overflow parking. If you are bringing a boat, I have trailer storage for you just down the street. Please let me know.

Ok place to stay, but there are a lot of better options for same or less money. We picked this property because we travel with our two dogs. We arrived to find no green space around the property. In fact, dogs are not even allowed in the park. We had to walk them to the front and out of the park everyday. The pictures on the listing do not fairly represent the property either. Propety was fairly clean, but needed some TLC with a deeper clean and maintenence. Walls scuffed, holes in pillow cases, bleach spots on towels. Would not recommend at this price.

The photo shot from above from the outside of the building is abit misleading. The lower building on the left is the apartment and the high building next to it is a large separate home, so you can’t actually see the bay unless you walk to the water edge for a slight bay view. The houses across the little canal are quite close and you can easily hear any conversations, etc. There was a never-ending stream of little ants on the kitchen counter and up the wall to the cabinets, even after the owner brought over several ant traps. The unit was otherwise clean and it was nice to have the washer and dryer.

Nice community, not far from Key West. However the house was not clean. The sheets and pillows had blood on them and looked like they had not been washed, there was a lot of dust and floors were not vacuumed properly. The bathrooms had hair on the walls. This resulted in us having to sleep on top of blankets we brought with us.

This is our second time staying and Venture Out on Cudjoe Key and we chose it because the property is conveniently located and close to everything we wanted to do in the Lower Keys. The Venture Out pool is very nice, and the on-site store carries just about anything you might need. We enjoyed using the bocce ball court, pool, and hot tub during our stay. The size of the house (#511) worked well for two couples, though the bathrooms are quite small. One bedroom has a king bed, which leaves very little additional space. The beds themselves were comfortable, but the pillows were not. At first glance, the home appeared clean, but it became clear that it needed a deeper cleaning. The air vents were very dirty, and the light fixtures were dusty, and the heat/air vents are all rusted. One bed did not seem clean, so we washed the sheets before using it. We also found an empty soda bottle under one bed, and an old moldy pair of flip flops, garbage, and dust bunnies under a bathroom cabinet. The porch railing is loose and missing bolts. The countertop ice maker and the grill were not working when we arrived, but the owner replaced both the next day after we reached out. The heat in the home did not work, which we needed one night. We appreciated the owner’s quick responses when we reached out. We paid more than last year for the same type of unit, but last year’s rental was cleaner and more welcoming. This one needs a deep cleaning & remodeling projects completed.

Nice place to stay. Bedrooms and baths are on the small/tight side and could use updating. Outdoor grill is not up to par. Patio/deck is beautiful, quiet and relaxing. Neighborhood is very quiet. 125 amenity fee is excessive especially for those that don't use it.

The place has a lot of potential. There are a few areas that need improvement. Badly cabinet doors are off, missing falling off. The baseboard, especially in the bathroom are very dirty. The registers in the house are rusty some with holes in them even the place just needs a little TLC.

Neat and tidy………. Exactly as described and the same in the photos- Peaceful and relaxing! The kitchen was great and more importantly had everything equipped needed to cook, wash and eat! Bath towels also provided for guests. Back porch/dock area was cute and cozy- It was a very comfortable stay!

The trip started with an unpleasant encounter to check in. The guard insisted that our name was not on his list and he said "I don't have time to help you. Call the host". Then we were given all the rules (lots of thou shall not). The unit was ok. My suggestion is to remove the old dirty area rugs.

We were disappointed to see that the view across the canal was travel trailers and scattered "stuff" including an air conditioning unit on blocks. One of the bathroom pocket doors was continually getting stuck, trapping people in thebathroom.

Little slice of paradise!

The place was everything as described. Close enough to Key West and beaches that we did not stay home much during the day but nice to have a peaceful place to land in the evenings. Bedrooms and bathrooms were right but served its purpose. Jennifer and Susan were very helpful with check in. Thanks for letting my parents relive their glory days in the Keys. I would stay again if we come back!

Quick weekend getaway

Property was adorable! Had all that we needed. Good use of space for a smaller home but decorated beautifully. The only issue was overflow parking as we had two cars and a boat trailer. We decided to put the trailer in overflow recommended but that was three miles away further than security said quarter mile. Where we stored though, Mitch and Rich, were great. We would come back again but with one less vehicle

Great location

We really liked the location of this rental. It is situated in a quiet community, on the beautiful canal, and close to other things in the area. We did not spend a ton of time at the house due to family events but the property had everything we needed for our short weekend trip. The only reason I gave it a 4 star is because of the air conditioning rule. The house rules state you cannot turn the AC down lower than 75 degrees, which is not a comfortable setting.

Great place to vacation

Cute house with wonderful features. Covered deck was a nice place to enjoy a book and meal. The open design of the living room and kitchen made the cottage feel big. The Venture Out community is welcoming. It was an excellent atmosphere to walk and bike in a safe space.

Fishing and reading

My husband loved fishing everyday and I enjoyed reading.The place was in a perfect location and had most of the comforts of home. There was no cleaning table for the fish big inconvenience and no light available. My issue is the lack of shade on the porch on the comfortable couch. It’s way too hot
