"From the moment we entered the property our experience was less than ideal. The staff member at the front desk should not be working in the hospitality industry. She never smiled and only conversed when required to give or get specific information. She was actually rude on a number of occasions during our stay and sighed deeply when having to respond to any questions or needs. "The Bad-I had checked in as a storm was forecasted I parked my motorcycle in front of my window under the roof overhang to prevent damage. Whilst dozing on the bed I was jolted out of my sleep by loud banging on the metal door. Knocking politely would have been a better option I think. "This motel looks like it's from the 1970's, but we liked the retro feel of the place. When we arrived to check in, there was a police car with its lights on sitting in the parking lot and a used blue exam glove in the parking lot next to our space (just a little disconcerting!) "It was a busy time at the hotel but each interaction I had with staff was lovely. I don’t do breakfast but would head down in the morning for fresh coffee and it was well managed, other guests seemed to enjoy it. Room was clean - although a bit funky smelling. I think it’s the deodorizer they used. Parking onsite and free. Gotta love that. Was only 15-20 minutes from Cornwall (my focus) so that was convenient. I’d probably stay in Newburgh or Beacon next trip. Not much to do around the hotel."
