"We had a great stay. It was a city break with my two children and we really enjoyed the experience. The CoalShed has real character and was a great place to hang out with my kids and use as a base to explore all the great stuff on offer in Bristol. "I would stay there again. However it would have been nice to have instructions on how to use the appliances. Had to figure out using chatgbt how to use dishwasher and washer/dryer. Could have had more kitchen garbage bags. There was just the one there and no others."

"Staff is friendly. The rooms are large and clean. The location is great. If you are scent sensitive then it is hard to spend time in the main area of the hotel because they spray this strong scent which made me ill. They didn’t clean the room the first day (we stayed 4 days). The room faced the courtyard and it was loud and hard to sleep."

"Nice large room, good breakfast, friendly staff. Nice to be able to walk into town easily. "

"Good location; friendly staff; generous-sized room; cleanliness. The interior of the hotel is new and easy to maneuver, but entrance has several sets of steps. Saw elderly people and people with mobility issues struggling to conquer the steps, especially with luggage and no hand rails. Not accessible for wheel chair users. "

"Excellent boutique hotel. Superb service all round. We were greeted outside by Wayne to help with valet parking and every encounter with a member of staff from there was very positive. The highlight was dining at Olive Tree. Absolutely outstanding food and such a nice touch to have the chefs come out and explain the creativity and work that goes into every dish. We will be back for sure "

So many great dining options nearby. Cool to hear students practising in the Uni Music School Building opposite the apartment. "
