Hotels a St Marychurch, Torquay

"There was a wedding party which I was advised before I arrived. The hotel called me to confirm this which I was happy with. They brought the evening meals to the room which was very enjoyable. I have no issues with this whatsoever. They kept me informed. "

"The sea view room was great! Would recommend. Breakfast is an amazing selection! Staff are super friendly and helpful. It’s approx 15-20 scenic min walk into centre of Torquay."

"Pool, hot tub, breakfast (extra charge) and Sam on front desk were excellent. Let down by heating not working for three nights we were there and single glazing so made it cold. Requested from other member of staff extra pillows (pillows were really soft), extra quilt and plug in heater due to heating in room not working but nothing was available. Expedia listed as 11am check out but it’s 10am."

"Fantastic hotel Staff & owners are very special to their guests 3 time staying here outstanding breakfast"

"The hotel provides good value accomodation, and has superb sea views. The breakfast was excellent, and the room was comfortable. Free parking was available."

"The woman who greeted us, was so lovely!!! Made us feel welcomed and at home and would recommend to anyone visiting."

"If you’re staying with a lager dog (mine is a springer spaniel) you’ll be put in one of the rooms under the Appleby’s bar. As a result the rooms are dated and in desperate need of updating, and being under the outside area of the bar it’s very noisy (Saturday night especially). I requested a room change and the manager was very accommodating and moved me to a room that was a lot nicer but still on the front below the bar because of my dog. Staff were very friendly and helpful and recommended...

"Conveniently situated & serves the one of the best breakfasts in all of the travelling we’ve done over the years throughout the UK. The owner-hosts were very helpful & genuinely friendly without being imposing. Only one minor criticism of the room in that I found one of my pillows was flat & the other like having my head on a rock. However, my wife’s were fine, so that made everything alright as she told me to stop moaning😉 Our thanks to the owner Peter for the recommendation for the best fish...

"Very clean, friendly and helpful host, great breakfast"

"Lovely clean room and bathroom. Very good breakfast, well cooked and presented and plenty of choice. Staff very helpful. My only concern would be the steps up to the property they are not easy if you have any kind of mobility problem."

"Helpful location for what we needed. Room was clean and reasonably well appointed with a couple of bottles of water. Shower was a little tricky to figure out what knob did which thing but otherwise fine. Food in the pub in the evening was ok, but didn’t come across as particularly home made. The brie wedges were no better than the ones you get in the supermarket for £1. Service was a little varied. Breakfast was OK but nothing special. I can see their market and it’s not me and that’s fine."
